Time's A Wastin'

Initial Application: 5/26
Email and First Phone Interview (5-10 minutes)- 5/28
Confirmation for Second Interview- 5/28
Second Interview (Part Skype, Part Phone- 20-30 minutes)- 5/31
Official Application and Invitation for Scheduling Third and Final Interview- 6/6
Third Interview- 6/12 (Skype- 45+ minutes[ran over allotted time slightly])

For anyone interested in these types of things, my first two interviewers were female, third one was male.

First mention of hours and pay was during first interview/ short phone call.

Every question I was asked was one that is listed on either page 40 or page 100 of this thread. GOLDEN. If you are reading this, it's fate that you found this thread.

I was told I would hear back in 2-3 weeks because the recruiters get together after all the interviewing is done and get all the notes from those that gave interviews that weren't recruiters to make their decision. I'm supposed to be doing iOS starting in the 7/15 class. iMac and rest of equipment is supposed to be shipped/ arriving on 7/12. MISSED A CALL on 6/13 from one of the recruiters with no voicemail and no answer upon callback. This is where I'm a little confused. I called her a bit over a week ago and asked her how I could improve on my interview skills, even if she had to wait until after the decision about my employment was already made. I have no idea what she was calling about now. Could I have missed my offer call? If it was an offer call, would she have left a message? Could she have been calling to ask if I could accommodate a different training start date?

My one other concern is that most people are receiving their HireRight background check emails within 3 days of their last interview. My interview was on a WEDNESDAY so 3 days later would be today, Saturday. Not an official business day. Could this have an effect on when I get the email or could this be a bad sign (trusting God it's not)? What's the longest any of you have waited to hear back in any capacity between the third interview and the background check email/ offer call?

If I am supposed to have this job (which seems custom built for me), God will see that everything comes together. Pray with me y'all! Who else is supposed to be in the 7/15 class?

Congrats to you too. Yes no more stress now that we know we are in. :D Looks like we will be classmates. I just never expected the start date to be pushed back almost 2 months, I thought possibly only a week or 2 at most. Can you say Ramen Oodles of Noodles? lol

Ramen is pretty darn good ;)

Why are people more concerned about equip than the job?

Sorry, quoted the wrong reply.. I am a newbie :)

You are an Apple employee now, stop calling it an iTouch. You get the iPod Touch 5th generation for training and troubleshooting assistance.

Do not turn it on because you do not yet have instructions on how they want you to set it up.

Following directions, I guess, is something you are not good at. You might wanna fix that before you start training. Just fyi.

ya know, I've been following the posts and I see quite a few.. "What are they sending us" "Can I open it"? Dude, you just got a job that is not easily obtained by some that actually want the job and not the APPLE OWNED equipment they send you for troubleshooting and work purposes. Getting tired of reading these.. Sorry but I am. It's reads so childish, do you even want the job?

How is someone being excited about opening the packages or wondering what equipment they receive come off as childish? Also why do you even think they just want the equipment. People are allowed to be excited about their new career. I suggest you keep your condescending comments to yourself if your not happy with what people are posting.

Sure. There is nothing wrong with being excited, and I am not saying this is every post. But when you read into a post and people seem to care more about what they will receive as equipment, that is a little concerning.

You are specifically asked NOT to open the packages until training, you are also asked and required to sign a NDR. You are not to disclose salary, details, benefits etc of the position.. seems to me if you cannot follow simple requests and/or requirements, that is a little childish to me.

Last I looked this was a public forum, and just as you posted I am entitled as well.

I finished up my background check on Thursday. Waiting but if I get the offer, I'll be in the 7/15 class.

Also, I don't think they'll do anything over the weekend. Good luck :)

Application?

Hey there! So I'm waiting to have my 3rd interview on 6/17, and I was sent an e-mail saying that it was time to fill out my application. However, under the page in question ("My Profile"), the "My Application" link is supposed to be on the left and is not. Anyone know where to look for this? I can't seem to find anything online, and my contact at Apple has yet to get back to me.

Interesting mine showed up before the 3rd interview but I was never sent a link to fill out the official application, I know everyone else was. I only checked before the 3rd interview because everyone else said they received it, and low and behold "My Application" was there.

If I were you I would inquire about it at the end of your 3rd interview when they ask if you have any questions.

To all those who knew when their background check was complete. Did you get an e-mail notification letting you know it was complete or is there some where you can see it by logging into your apple profile page?

Thanks for posting your timeline! You...and everyone else! This is my first post, but I have been reading everyones posts for a couple weeks, as I started my journey, hopefully, to a career with Apple. It has all happened so fast, but here is basically how my timeline breaks down:

June 3: Received an email from a previous colleage telling me about her job at Apple as an AHA. She asked if I was interested in applying. Of course, I said "Heck, yes!"
June 4: Her official "referral" for me was completed.
June 4: Received an email from Apple "An Apple Employee thinks you would be a great fit for a job at Apple", with an invitation to apply.
June 4: Completed application and questionnaire
June 5: First phone interview with recruiter. Was told it is a part time position and would be fully benefitted. Pay is better than I initially thought.
June 6: Second interview. Was supposed to be via FaceTime, but it wasn't working properly so had to do a telephone interview. About 20 minutes.
June 7: Received email to schedule my third interview and fill out more extensive application
June 14: Had third interview via FaceTime (this time it worked)!! Was told I would hear in 0-10 days whether I was hired and it would be via a phone call.

Im seeing that most people, after their third interview, receive an email to do a background check from HireRight. My interviewer didnt mention that. Also, since my interview was from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm est on Friday, I'm nearly sure they dont send those emails on weekends.

If and when I get more info, I will post. If all goes well, I will be in the 7/15 training class. Fingers crossed!!

My third interview didn't mention the BG check either. Got it about 24 hours later though. My interview was on a Thursday.

Thinking of applying for the apple advisor

I have a few months of at home customer service work under my belt. I'm looking for some information on what the apple home advisory entitles, i'm not very familiar with apple I've always been more familiar with windows software. I would appreciate any insight on the nature of this work.Primarily are you working with apple customers troubleshooting all devices computers, ipod, itouch etc, what is the volume of calls for those who have already gotten the position. How was training, was it sufficient to learn the material needed to be a good Rep. Also I see they are hiring for part time positions only on their webpage. What would the starting hourly range be for working 20 hours per week. Any help will be appreciated it :)

Guess who also got their call? :D:D:D. But my class was supposed to be July 1, now it is only going to be August 26th. :( ouch... Still very, very Happy :) and finally can relax.

Apple Grandma, how long ago did you get your bgc email? I am supposed to be in the July 1st training and I got my bgc email May 31st. I had to send some things in to verify work with a company that is no longer in operations and I'm wondering if I'll be pushed that far back also. Was it for iOS?
