can someone tell me what apple's policy is for broken iphone screens for someone who doesnt have applecare+?
how would you guys recommend answering that question about a customer with broken device?
thanks for the help- first interview went great.
I also start July 1st.
I'm just giving you a hard time. Your situation does suck and trust me I've been there. No one really knows what happens in Apple recruiting or why your class was pushed back. No one knows how iOS or CPU is determined. It just is what it is.
First let me ask, Did you receive the email specifying what Wave you are in?
In that email it will give you a number to call for the Teleconference Bridge and a link to a website to login along with the details of your login info.
Don't know if all is exactly the same but here is the schedule i got
There are three components to New Advisor Training:
1. (NEO) Week of July 1st, 2013 (depending on your date and time scheduled by Staffing)
2. Training Orientation (T.O) Week of July 8th, 2013 (depending on your date and time scheduled by Training)
3. New Advisor Training (NAT) - Starting on Monday, July 15th, 2013.
The New Advisor Training Program consists of four (4) consecutive weeks; 40 hours per week. Weeks 1 3 are curriculum based.
You will be required to listen and take live calls during the course of your New Advisor Training program.
Week 4 is the nesting period, where you meet your Operations Team, complete required supplemental training, and take monitored and mentored customer calls. Nesting hours will mirror training.
hope this helps
Since this site is loaded with theories-I will post mine--Again only unfounded theory having gone thru the hiring process and having read most of this thread.
I believe there are 2 main entry level departments for at home advisors.
1. Ios---I believe these are the mass majority of apple customers, hence most Advisors are hired for this role. I think Kelly hires for this department. I am not even sure Apple hires direct for this role? or maybe it does but for full time? This job probably has much higher turnover than CPU
2. CPU--these customers are apples high end users, a much smaller and more loyal customer base. Apple only hires direct for this position---keeping it part time to allow the best reps to compete for the full time hours.
Please someone correct me---I appreciate the opportunity to learn as much as possible before starting.
I just had my third interview, yesterday, and was told I was being considered for the CPU class.
Here is my timeline:
June 11: Applied for position
June 13: First phone interview
June 17: Second interview (Skype)
June 24: Third interview (Skype)
At the end of the third interview, she said she had just started interviews for the next CPU class, but didn't give me a date. On my first interview, I was told August 5th, but I am not sure that is going to happen.
Does anyone know what class starts on Aug 5th and which one starts on Aug 26th?
There has been a lot of great Q&A on this board, so I am going to give you a few I was asked.
Q: A lady just said she has lost her phone and she doesn't know where it is, can we help her find it?
A: Do you have the app "Find my iPhone" loaded on your phone and computer?
Q: Mom cannot send or receive emails.
A: Is her wifi turned on and does her internet work? (That is as far as she wanted me to go)
Q: I dropped my iPhone or Macbook, what do I do?
A: First check to see if the battery can charge. Does the light come on the power cord when plugged in. If not is the wall plug good? Is it the correct power cord for the device?
Q: What is POP?
A: I had to ask her if she meant like POP3. She did and wanted the actual name of POP - Post Office Protocol. Then she wanted to know what it was and I explained the difference between POP and IMAP.
Q: You have to go to work in five minutes and your internet connection doesn't work. What do you do?
A: Unplug your modem for 30 seconds, then plug it in and reboot. Unplug your computer from your router and directly into your modem. Bring up all software on your computer and hopefully it will work.
Q: Describe a time when you and your supervisor had a difference of opinion and was there a resolution?
Q: Describe a time when you had to troubleshoot a computer to a successful completion.
Q: Describe a time when you had to troubleshoot a computer and you did not succeed. What steps did you take during the troubleshooting process.
Q: Why do you want to work for Apple?
Q: Describe how you prepare yourself every day for an at home job.
Q: What is RAM, hard drive, CPU as if you were talking to someone who didn't know anything about computers.
I hope these help some of you prepare for your interviews. Good luck!
I was also told August 5th. Full time CPU. Have you received a background check yet?
Just got my email from my Team Manager Very interesting sounding person. I was a little taken back when I saw her picture. She literally looks like she is barely legal age even though she has been a TM for 3 years. I always seem to get along better with people younger than me so this should be fun lol! I am so excited for Monday!!!
I think we're on the same team lol are you iOS?
i applied on may 30, 2013 and just got the offer call on yesterday june 25 2 weeks after my last interview i am in the july 15th class. anyone that is waiting please please be patient especially if you got as far as the background it took 2 weeks for mine to process so be patient they will call
anyone want to take a look at my cover letter / resume ?
i've changed my salary info and applied to some more locations; still zero luck even getting a call from a recruiter
