Dismissed misdemeanor means that the charges are dropped but it will still show on BGC if checked. Just because it shows up on the BGC doesnt mean you wont get the job, I personally had a felony charged that was disposed of meaning dropped as well, but it still showed. Hireright didnt have the conclusion on it so they called me and ask me to send verification that the case is closed. After doing so, I got my offer call 3 days later. I wouldnt worried about that because trust me the felony on my record was bad and I still got the job
.
BTW if you didnt get convicted, meaning served time for the charge, you are legally allowed to answer no to the question anyway so dont worry about it so much. Double checked with my lawyer a while back incase your worrying.

Thank you so very much!! I have been worrying like crazy. I know that worrying doesn't help things - but I, like most within this forum, very much need and want this position. The way that Texas terms an NSF check - as "Theft by Check" makes it sound as if I robbed someone with a "loaded check," when in all honesty, the funds were available in the account at the time that the check was written. The merchant held the check for so long before depositing it - that I assumed it had cleared and never thought twice about it.
Anyways, I won't bore you or bog down the forum with my cries of innocent - I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to reply.
