hey I have been reading through the pages and so far have made it through 3 interviews for the at home advisor position. My third interview was on monday July 8th and was told it could take up to 2 weeks to hear back. So far I haven't heard anything and was wondering if this is normal to not hear anything yet. thanks

Nope completely odd.

It's a permanent job. I'm not sure where you got your information.

He works for Apple, so a little background reading would suggest that he was probably making a sarcastic reply to what he perceived to be a dumb question.

While my personal preference is to reserve judgment concerning the value of a given question, I can't really fault famous600 for taking a jab here and there. Most of this stuff has already been answered, many times. Nothing, and I'll repeat - NOTHING - has suggested that it's a 90 day temp sort of arrangement. Not even for those who hire in with Kelly. So the question was kinda begging for a sarcastic reply.

With respect to the specific conversation here, an individual stated that he/she was told that it might take up to two weeks, and then asked for a conclusion after four days. Res ipsa loquitur.

(I've said it a few times already, but → four weeks. I got an offer call four weeks after my background check came back clean.) Maybe they'll ******* me soon, simply because I'm not a very pleasant person and I don't really embrace the Apple culture, but there's nothing structural about the job that suggests that this will happen. As far as I know, I can continue to do my job and continue to be paid for doing so.

Just for a few months then you have to look for a new job.

why would the job only be for a few months if you did well during training?

----------

so is there a normal time frame for getting the background email?

if you don't get one in like 5 days i'd recommend emailing the person who sent you the application. my bf did that and they sent him the link to the bc check right after

happy to hear that, I figured your BGC wouldnt be an issue after what I went through and still got the job. Congratulations!

Thanks Chosen105 - you were a great "anxiety reducer." I cannot thank you enough! I am very excited to be a part of the Apple Community.

----------

CONGRATS! Especially glad the BGC turned out to be no big deal. Awesome!

My BGC completed yesterday, so I'm just hoping that phone's gonna ring soon. Seems like they are finishing up the 8/5 class now.

Thanks Roomers! I am sure that you'll be getting your call soon. I am truly looking forward to Aug.5th! Looks like we'll be classmates for sure. :D

Had my third interview a couple days ago. It's been said before, but I can't believe how laid back it was. It was a very nice lady on the other end of the phone, and the interview was definitely more customer service oriented. In fact, there were very few technical questions. That may be because I have tech experience in my background or because we were a bit late, so take heed. Every question I was asked is in this forum, so don't be afraid to study them and even make notes if you want. Background check was send not even an hour after the interview was over, so now it's time to play the waiting game. Really hoping I get in!

Well I apologize for not picking up on the sarcasm.

Congrats to everyone who's been selected to continue! I start on August 26th. I can't remember if I've updated you guys yet. (I'm on mobile.) I'm waiting on my email and to schedule my hire paperwork. For anyone who's in my class, I look forward to meeting you guys!

If anyone has any questions, I won't hesitate to answer. (At least until I sign a NDA and then it's zipppp.)

But seriously. Thanks to all of the contributors to the forum. I wouldn't have made it through this if it wasn't for you guys walking us through the process. It definitely made this a better experience.

And I do agree. This thread is getting a little repetitive. A little research goes a long way. I'm pretty sure EVERYTHING there is to cover has been covered.

Maybe its me....

But some of these questions are aggravating... I can expect most of them from children and customers but this forum???? Some things require minimal thinking skills. Most questions have been answered one thousand seven hundred and twenty five times. If you do not want to go through all 380, there is a dark blue bar near the top of this forum page. On the right hand side of that bar is a link called "Search this Thread". You can magically search for key words that will narrow your 380 to a few. If you cant locate "Search this Thread" press and hold Ctrl + F and type "Search this Thread" and your browser (What you use to get on the internet) will show you where it is.

Also, Google is a GREAT tool to use when you need information. It can direct you to articles, videos and forums just like this. Please use it.

Starting on July 15th. Congrats to all hired and good luck to those applying...

Ding Ding Ding! The same questions being asked every third post is annoying. If you can't read a simple forum to find your answer you will have a horrible time searching for a resolution for a customer on the phone. EVERY question has been answered.

why is everyone so upset that questions are asked a thousand times Just dont answer them if they annoy you. Also, the repetitive nature of this forum seems like good practice for the job. I am sure we'll hear the same questions asked a hundred different ways from our customers.
