That doesn't sound too bad. So then you Fedex back to HR and thats it? Do they discuss anything on when you'd receive a schedule, or when your office is to be set up?
(Thank you for taking the time to post this info)

You're welcome. Yes. I went to the apple store today to get my I-9 forms verified and the dumb manager had no idea how to even complete it. I gave him the instructions and everything. So after calling to verify the forms twice with the HR reps and going back in the store to get it fixed, I just decided to go to another apple retail store. Got there, senior manager knew exactly what to do, gave me my forms back and welcomed me to apple. Quick and easy there. So once the HR dept verifies that the i9 is correctly completed, they email a FedEx label. You go to your local FedEx and get a free envelope. Send all I-9 forms and other forms back via FedEx. This is all due the Wednesday before class begins. They did mention that a phone line and Internet e

They definitely want you to have your Internet and phone set up in time for training because they say that's the main issue they have with new hires. And no word on the work scheduld but training is 9-6cst.

I feel like my process is going a little slower than everyone else, but they assured me my hire date was still 9/10.

Received my offer call last Thursday and just yesterday got the e-mail to accept.

For the ones that have already went through this, after your "I accept e-mail" what happens? Should I expect another e-mail or just watch the mail?

Thanks for your help! :)

After you accept the offer via e-mail you will receive an email to schedule your paperwork phone call. Apple will Fedex overnight your packet with all the forms they will go over on the phone call. Then you fill out the paperwork, verify at an Apple Store or bank, and then send it into Apple with a pre-paid Fedex label.

About how long did it take to get the e-mail to schedule your paperwork phone call after your accept e-mail if you don't mind me asking?

It took about 45 minutes for me. Your mileage may vary.

I'm headed to Fed-Ex now to ship off my paperwork and now I wait for the equipment to arrive. :D

That makes sense. I am VERY far away, the opposite coast of where I applied actually. The time difference is what throws me off.

Iagree. Nothing being said about the person that 1st reported that the higher pay was due to them doing well on their interview. That is what the interviewer told that person. My interviewer told me that he was in a "good mood" and that was why I was getting more :) I don't know why they tell people this is an across the board raise.

Pretty much everyone at the retail level got an across the board pay raise of up to 25%. Store employees are reporting a 5 - 10% raise. The $14 listed in the job ad reflects the old rate and everybody getting hired now gets paid because of the rate adjustment... not because you did well in the interview.

Wall Street article

I'd bet my first pay check that every single new AHA hire starts at the same rate everyone else gets.

Well I think there is a way to determine what the cause is. If everyone received an identical higher offer then obviously it was an across the board raise. I have no issues saying I was offered 15 an hour. If anyone's offer was different then maybe it was individual.

This was not meant to be a dart or arrow towards you. I was simply saying that I do not believe the higher pay has anything to do with doing a good job in the interview process.

Questions on the Land Line and Wired Internet connection. How does Apple reimburse us these costs? I understand it's up to $50/month.

No offense taken. I agree with you. Just trying to clear up the reason for the increased pay raise since there was some discussion.

I agree that the increased compensation has nothing to do with "interview performance". My recruiter said that "he was able to get me a higher pay approval from his manager". So I think that there were raises across the board, and the recruiters were "creative" with how they explained that to new hires. Either way, I am sure all of us are pleased with the increase!

It's even more disconcerting that Kelly is paying $9.15/hour (no benefits) compared to Apple's $15 (with benefits) plus $50/month for phone/internet.

A little bit of research and some common sense will tell you that 1. AHA starting wage is corporate policy NOT because an interviewer happens to be in a good mood. I seriously doubt interviewers even have the authority to offer higher starting wages 2. This is not a software engineering job where the wage is negotiable.

They are hiring hundreds of AHA personnel and everyone will start at $15.00 per hour. Why? Because they have no reason to pay more than that.

You're more than welcome to believe what you want, however.

Yeah. If folks come forward with offers of more than $15 it would carry some weight.

Yeah I don't wanna jump into that debate but my offer letter doesn't say $15. So no comment.

Yeah seems like Kelly is definitely getting their cut plus some.

I agree that im pleased for sure.

I'm guessing in the paycheck. But they only pay what it's proven to be. He said if your Internet and phone equate to $40, that's what you get. But the max is $50 regardless. I appreciate it either way because it helps with a bill each month. I don't know of any other WAH companies ( that I've worked for) that cover any of that. So this is all gravy.

Got my call I start with the 9-17 class

Congrats
