Sounds like you've studied at the AngryGerbil School of Diplomacy.

HAHAHA! Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Was anyone else called in less than one minute after applying?
I was surprised by that. But was glad to hear back so soon after applying & not have to wait around.

When I finished the application, I went to get a glass of water in my kitchen and heard my phone ringing from my room. She asked me if I was still interested in the position and I joked that I didn't think I had enough time to seriously reflect on it yet. Lol

Yeah. I got the same email from the recruiter yesterday. Thanks man.

Depends on how you define "back in the day". I don't think the BGC goes much past 5 years. Every employer I listed from more than 5 years ago they didn't verify with because it was too long ago. Since I've been with my current employer for 6 years, that was all they really looked at. Everything else was ignored. Just FYI, my employer did report my exact pay, so don't lie about how much you make to try and get more money. I was also off on my start date by a couple months and that wasn't a big deal either. They just want you to be as honest as possible.

Back in the day as far as 5 years ago. Thanks for the response should hear something within a few days regarding if I get it or not!

Ya know, I have to say, I was disappointed when I didn't get the direct hire with Apple (although having gone through the Kelly training now and seeing where our emphasis is placed has really helped me pinpoint the deficiencies that they saw in me) but I'm really not hating it at all. Everyone is super-supportive of each other and in a way that isn't totally obnoxious cheerleader. I've been rather pleasantly surprised. I do still plan to try and reapply after my six month waiting period is up but I'm glad to find that I won't be hating my time with Kelly while that happens.

If Kelly paid nearly as well as Apple and had even semi-decent benefits I might actually be content enough to stay. But since they don't, I have to do what I can to try and get into the best possible situation.

I guess all I'm trying to say is, if you don't make the cut with Apple, don't be bitter about it. Try and see what it is that they wanted to see and didn't and do what you can to improve your skills in the areas they're lacking. And whether you get hired with Apple or Kelly, be prepared to have to think on your feet, rather than expect them to give you the time to memorize every possible scenario. Practice by making sure your questions haven't already been answered.

Oh, and know the difference between apologizing and empathy. Apple doesn't want you to be sorry, they want you to be understanding and able to demonstrate that you understand. Master that, and you'll be in great shape.

Hey, guys! This is going to be great! Only thing to do now is wait for the invitation to schedule a paperwork call.

Congratulations to everyone in there new journey and hopefully career!
I'm hoping to join you soon!

Would anyone know what the time frame is to move to full time in iOS?
I'm sure it depends on customer satisfaction scores and stuff but I'm just looking for a general idea or Would this be a good question to ask in final interview?

I wish everyone the best success in the class!

Thank you

If you are a part time employee you will stay part time until 1. you move to tier 2 or 2. you move laterally, i.e. go to chat support or other queue. Other than that the only full time hours you'll see will be during training and the xmas holiday.

If you have questions about scheduling and upward mobility your best best would be to talk to your team manager; recruiters aren't really that familiar with the inner workings of AHA, they just hire people.

I have to give you an "A" for attitude, there's no way I could have done this job with Kelly. Even with Apple's pay and benefits I've come within an inch of quitting more than once. Customer service just isn't my thing. Unfortunately, given my age and location, I'm kind of stuck with it for the time being.

Definitely give Apple another shot. There are plenty of other companies that are much better to work for than Apple but if you're young and do not have a STEM degree... a few years at Apple and you can start pulling down some serious cash.

Officially hired today! Starting in the Aug 19th class. Anyone else in there?

This is the class they wanted to put me in. I got an email stating to fill out the official application about 3 or 4 days after my 3rd interview. I haven't received an email for a background check yet. I am just trying to figure out how the process works or if there is a good chance I could be getting the email for the background check soon.

Congrats! I've been reading over the posts in this thread for the past month as I too have gone through the Apple hiring process. I'll also be in the August 19th class. :) I never asked my recruiter if this is going to be an iOS class or a CPU class but from what I've read from others I'm thinking this is a CPU class. I also am starting out PT but hope to move up to Tier 2 quickly and work FT.
