Waiting

My final interview was Thursday the 25th.
I'm still waiting to hear from Apple going stir crazy.
I am really looking forward to working for Apple if given the job.

Whats the longest its taken for some of you to hear back, I'm hoping the length of time is a good thing and I will get it.

Thanks

You're waiting on the hire right email? Usually comes the day of the third interview or within a week or so. I'm sure you're fine. They are super inconsistent from what I've read on here. Same process for most people---just a ridiculous amount of variance. After a week, I'd email someone (assuming you have a recruiter's contact info).

I had my 3rd interview and still waiting to hear anything...
I guess I just want it so bad I'm inpatient. I have other job offers I'm turning down.

I expressed this as my general approach to providing great customer service. And I STILL got hired. J/k.

Ha!! Indeed. Doesn't everything come from Reddit? It's pretty much the center of the universe as far as I'm concerned.

Oddly enough, I haven't run across too many redditors in the AHA chat rooms. I tend to browse reddit in between calls but it's changed quite a bit in the last 5 years and I don't go there as much as I used to.

Just had my third interview, we'll see if I get an email back! Was very nervous despite it being very laid back, and I don't know why with the role plays but I always freeze up (and never do with actual customers on the phones..) as it's awkward, and had to pause one to think of what to say properly.

Really? That surprises me for some reason. Not sure why, but it does.

I've only been an active member for a few years or so..but even in that time, it just seems like it has exploded--and in doing so, has managed to attract a lot of...idiots.

As with most forums or social networking sites, be it DIGG or Facebook, the larger they become the less use I have for them. It becomes harder and harder to sift out the chaff so to speak. There are still some really good forums and blogs but overall the net has become too much like television... tons of content but not much substance(the very definition of a Michael Bay movie).

Hey forgot to ask is there a significant pay increase from t1-t2?

I don't know yet. I do know that there is a substantial raise but I can't find anyone that will even give me a hint as to how much it may be. People are pretty secretive about how much they're getting paid... Some of that is Apple's emphasis on secrecy and some of it is cultural. I can tell you that I won't even consider going to Tier 2 unless there's at least a 15% bump in pay.

I'm guessing that within a week or so they'll be asking me if I want to shift to Tier 2 since I finished all of the prerequisites(except for nesting) last week. I can't see doing over a month of T2 training just to stay in T1 for another month or two. Also, they've just hired a **** ton of people and are going to be needing more T2 reps when iOS 7 gets released.

Start Date?

So if they say that the start date is August 12th does that mean that the first orientation day is August 12th. And how long before training starts do you get an email or notice with information pertaining to training.

15% I don't think that's enough personally I'd shoot for 25% increase if you're making anywhere in the ball park of what they are paying me. Lol

The first figure I decided on was 25% but I seriously doubt a T1 to T2 raise will be that high. All I know is that there's no way I want to deal with the types of calls I've escalated to T2... they were absolute nightmares. I'm not sure 15% would be enough to convince me to be honest. Also, T2 is full time and I cringe at the thought of taking calls for 40 hours. I'm still considering going with chat support even though it's not T2... I really do hate phones.

How often do you escalate calls to T2? I would deal with the unruly customers considering even T1 gets paid pretty decent.
