How often do you escalate calls to T2? I would deal with the unruly customers considering even T1 gets paid pretty decent.

I rarely escalate calls. That's one of the reasons they put me in the T2 apprenticeship program. There really are not a lot of "unruly" customers. Once in a while I'll get someone that will not get off the phone unless they talk to a "supervisor" (that's T2) and it's typically something stupid like,"I don't want a re-manufactured phone, I want a new one".

As far as decent pay.. it's all relative. I got paid almost twice as much as what AHA pays doing T1 software support for Oracle... and that was 15 years ago.

I had my 3rd interview while being deathly ill on July 25th and my facetime wouldn't work and I had to switch to skype. Also the link to sign up for the interview wouldn't let me log in, so the recruiter had to set it up. Still no email for me either Jonks and I am getting nervous. It's only Tuesday and they said I would know within 1 to 2 weeks.

Honestly the pay is nice and better what I am getting paid now but what really draws me to the company is the job security and how many opportunities there are with Apple. It is a much better company than most.

I would rather people have a real idea of what goes on. It's a great company, but advancement only comes with excellent performance. If that's cold, then so be it.

I agree with the mentality, but perhaps not 100% with the original wording ;)

"It is a much better company than most." Not even close my friend, it's not even listed on the Forbes "Best 100 companies to work for". There are plenty of companies that are better to work at than Apple but it's not easy getting a job at those without a STEM degree or an MBA. Apple AHA is, however, a great way to go if you don't have a degree or in demand skill.

hey I have a question for anybody that has done the paperwork session, after you sign up for the paperwork session and receive the confirmation email about the session, is there anything else you have to do after that point besides wait for the paperwork or is there tracking information or anything I need to look out for or will the paperwork just show up without any other needed work.

Are you iOS support or CPU support?

The only reason the job ranks up there for me is because the pay is decent and I get to work from home while making decent pay. This is awesome when you have kids growing up :)

I have a four year old and this seems like the perfect position.

Not really... you may be working from home but you're still at work. You absolutely cannot babysit and work at the same time. A lot of AHA people that are parents struggle with work schedules and looking after the kiddies.

I think it depends on the Q you are in. Phone support no chance in hell. Chat support my 4 year old can play and be as loud as he wants!

Point taken but new people always start on the phones. Took you a few months to get into the chat queue no? And not everyone can move into chat support... just those with your Godlike metrics :p

My son is 4. His mother and I are not together so I don't have him all the time and he is in school most of the day. I usually get him at night right before bed so I don't see many issues. Chat support seems awesome. I know your metrics have to be right but how long until you can make a move between positions?

I'm currently iOS chat. I would have preferred CPU chat, but the rumor is that won't open up until later this year and I didn't want to wait and be on the phones until that happened.

CPU chat began just recently if I'm not mistaken. If you're in iOS chat then you've been in AHA for a while and you're well aware that going from iOS to CPU is not an easy thing to do.

You don't have to do anything else except to wait for the packet.

I'm full time. Being chat, I can watch movies or listen to music for my entire shift, so that helps.

I am aware, but I started as CPU. For me, it would have been easier to get CPU chat if it were open.

I'm pretty sure Famous600 watches episodes of "Walking Dead" during his shift :)

So, you're dual skilled? I'm jealous... How long did it take you to be able to work both queues?
