I just got my equipment today too! It's so exciting, and finally becoming real! Hopefully Monday will come fast, the temptation is hard not to open the boxes!

Waiting on my Hireright to come back - any other Sept 9thers hanging about?

At first I was told I'd be in the September 9th, but then in my third interview they said August 26th. My HireRight was completed Monday, so now I'm just playing the waiting game. I'd prefer the Sept 9th over August 26th, because it would give me more time to give a notice at my job and get my phone line, etc., hooked up.

Now I play the waiting game.

I know! The FedEx guy came and just couldnt help myself. The way I see it, as long as you dont turn anything on then it is all good. See you in the classroom on Monday!

Are the tests passable are the metrics reachable? I don't mind call center jobs. But I hate the "SELL iT OR ELSE!!" You get from retail on top of budgets that are impossible to hit. What's your average call time suppose to be?

Well since it is paid support, I would assume the only thing you could upsell, is if there AppleCare is about to expire and they reup on it, or if they have old software to buy new versions. Just my thought

Are any of you guys part-time AHAs on here? I was wondering how often they will switch your schedule from part-time to full-time or how often it fluctuates in general? I'm currently doing school online, but will eventually be shifting to taking classes on-campus sometime in the future and wonder how much of a notice they give you when switching your schedule. I actually never heard back from the Student AHA app I put in, but immediately got called when I put an app in for the regular AHA positions.

The tests are very passable as long as you pay attention in training. They really don't push the sales thing... you are required to mention both apple protection plan and apple care + though. I haven't sold a thing in months and that didn't stop them from putting me in Tier 2 training.

Metrics can be kind of tough... especially in iOS. The most important metric - customer satisfaction, can be elusive since every Tom, Dick and Harry own iPhones but if a non-empathetic curmudgeon like me can stay at 90% + then anyone can.

When you start off your call time will probably average 16 - 20 mins. After you get some experience it should drop below 14 minutes, which is the expected handle time.

Wow. 14 minutes is actually way better than what I was anticipating. At my current job our allowed call time is 8 minutes to be within 100% adherence and 10 minutes to be within 80% (which is the lowest adherence level they ever want you to get within).

I got my HireRight email a day later. Immediately filled it out. The background check was completed July 17th. No issues there whatsoever, squeaky clean.

I'm in the same boat. Had my third interview on the 22nd and was told I'd hear back in two weeks. Got the HireRight the next day on the 23rd. They just finalized the report on mine this past Monday, but I'm still getting antsy, b/c they told me I'd be in the August 26th class which I feel like is fast approaching.

I have my paperwork session coming soon, can it be done over a cellphone or does it have to be a landline? Because obviously I haven't set up my office yet

T1 nesting? Jumping the gun a little aren't you? It will be at least 4 months before you're considered for T2 and you have to have decent enough metrics as well as your TM's recommendation to get bumped upstairs.

As far as the T1 to T2 raise, I seriously doubt there's a standard rate that's used for everyone. It's most likely a combination of your metrics, performance reviews and geographic location among other things. And I'm not an idiot... there's no way I'd ever post a dollar amount. I may make something up just to be a troll though.

Already thinking about T2? When I was in T1 nesting, all I thought about was how I could find a normal job and get the hell out of AHA.

Not at all, but I appreciate the feedback :)

I have been in the call center business since 98. I am used to this, this is what I do best. This is my first chance with a company that WILL actually allow people to move up. While I know it will be a while before anything happens, I like to know things in advance if I can.

A coworker of mine started T1 in May this year and he already got into Chat support. While that would also be enjoyable, my plan is to stay here and climb. I fully (and realistically) expect to remain in T1 for quite some time, but I like to know what is potentially ahead :)

Apple Store Appointment

Hello everyone. I am trying to make an appointment to get my I-9 and Identity verification at an Apple Store. I have tried to make the appointment online but there are none available. I tried to call but no person answers and the I am instructed to go to the website. Do I make a one-to-one, business, appointment? Do I just go there?
