FedEx showed up today at my old address. I just happened to be there grabbing more things and cleaning up. My new hire paperwork has my new address. They must have continued using the info from the Apple application. Wow, this could have turned out badly.

Talking about fate! Listen, after you open and setup your equipment on MONDAY ;), I am dying to know if the equipment sent by Apple differs from that used with Kelly (i..e, iMac size, hands-free phone gadget, etc....). I was setup and ready to go with Kelly, then..... well, you know the drill. When Kelly's stuff was picked up, the FedEx guy commented, "Didn't I just deliver this to you a few weeks ago?" Hope I get the same guy with Apple's stuff for I would love to see what he has to say.... ha ha. :D So, can you come back here when you get a chance and let me [us] know? Thanks, colleague!

[sk2bbb: sorry about responding to you when I actually wanted to talk to my "most liked" colleague, SCIONTX. (just kidding, I like all of you, really I do! :p)]

Called for status of my background check that was submitted on 9/18/2012 at 3pm. Said it was completed except waiting on court records from Meigs County OH. So I went to Meigs County of Ohio web site and searched by my name and it was from a speeding ticket from March 2011, not sure what the hold up is then because this was actually a speeding ticket I remembered to pay:confused:

UGH!!!!! I called HireRight a couple of days ago and they stated Apple still has my background check information and it hasn't been forwarded to them yet. I called HireRight today and they stated my background check was completed a week ago!!!

Flip a coin: I call heads that it was completed a week ago! LOL

The issue is "how does Meigs County formally respond to request for background/record checks?" Their chosen process will hold up the completion of your report.

Wonder what would happen if they never respond?

Evidently they check more than employment

The background is 7 year criminal. With a few clicks if a mouse going to google.com a s typing in Meigs County Ohio Courthouse then entering my name I see the ticket and see paid in full. Can't be that hard

If that's the case, I have nothing to worry about. But goood lawwwwwd!!!!!

After following this forum for some time now, I finally wanted to post my experience as well. I interviewed for the 10/22 class and called HireRight today and they verified that my background check is complete....now it's just a waiting game I guess!

Yay. I'm set for the 10/22 class as well :)

BRAVO! The offer call is coming!

There is routinely a fee. If the court or county entity cashed HireRight's check or accepted any form of payment, then I'm sure HireRight would follow-up and make sure the request does not fall through the cracks. Most courts and other government entities state the estimated timeframe for providing certain research services.

Guys guess what!!! After almost a year of applying for this job I finally got an e-mail today asking me some questions. I have FaceTime or Skype interview due very soon.

I applied for God knows how many positions around the country and I never received a questionnaire. I guess it just isn't my time. I would apply via Kelly Services if I had an idea of how long it takes to be hired permanently through Apple. My friend was hired temp to perm from Volt years ago and she loves it. I don't like the idea of working for $9.15 at this point in my life.

Apple Internet Speed Requirements

Does anyone recall the exact Internet speed APPLE (not Kelly) requires, i.e., download and upload? Thanks.

"Please make sure you meet the minimum internet (2 Mbps download and 384 Kbps upload)..."

Kelly's requirements are ridiculous (10 and 1). With no explanation and no reimbursement for having to bump up your Internet plan.

That's exciting!

Yeah, that wage is a major downer. :( It's worse because they hype up the bonus potential. So, if you have damn near perfect scores you may make an extra $60 per week (full-time). Still substantially lower than what Apple is paying.

Thanks so much for the info! I read over and over again but could not locate that little tidbit ... even on the website. Sure I was overlooking it though....
