I applied and within 20min I received an email to fill out questions. The next day I had a phone interview, the next day I had FaceTime interview. I had another interview a week later. The following day I received an email to fill out RightHire paperwork. I did that on 17th and on the 19th background check was complete, cleared and sent to Apple... I'm just waiting for Apple to touch base with me now... So today is Friday... Maybe Monday I will her something? FINGERS CROSSED!!!!:D

I hope you do!!! Just found out today my background check was completed 1 week ago and I haven't heard anything. Not to mention, I have emailed my contact person.

when I did my background it took about a week and a half before I got offer call. From there it was about 3 Weeks to get equipment.. I got offer call on 8/28 and received equipment on 9/21.
You receive equipment 3 days before your start day.

IMac, wired keyboard and mouse, jabra USB headset, jabra amplifier, analog headset, iPod touch RCA phone, papers, and a mystery box not to be opened.

I'd heard about the iPod Touch. I understand it's not ours to keep, so wondering what the purpose is.

I'm starting on 10/8 so I imagine next week Apple Santa should be paying me a visit. I have to do the paperwork call on Monday, though I already sent the completed paperwork back to them. I had received the notice of the paperwork call late and missed it. I emailed Klee and she said it was fine, but still attend the paperwork call.

----------

I would assume for training in iOS.

That's what I was thinking too, but I'm not doing iOS. I'm doing CPU, unless they want everyone to know iOS.

... and to document that all procedural hiring steps were completed before commencement of training. Policy, policy.... :)

I directly asked about career growth opportunities in Interview 3. The team lead perked up and shared her personal accomplishments wherein she's been promoted three times since her employ two years ago and she's also delegated hiring managerial responsibilities on a per needed basis. She also stated that Apple expects AHAs to hold that position for at least one year before an AHA will be considered for a promotion. I assume all of this will be addressed during training. I reiterate, I intend to be just like her when I grow up! :)

I also intend to move onward and upward as quickly as possible. My hiring manager said there is plenty of opportunity to be had.

My nephew did the same and was hired for the university that he graduated from also....now he's working on his Masters and the university pays for one class per quarter. So funny how he has never left that campus since he left home....ha ha. Best of luck to you!

Yeah, a one-year grace period will pass so quickly. Besides, this is a corporation, it can bend any of its rules that are not mandated by law any time it wants to ;) .... not like working for bureaucratic systems (government entities).

I recall when I accepted a position with a different law firm in the private sector, the managing partner of the current law firm where I worked was on vacation, got wind of the news that I tendered my resignation and called me to ask that I make no moves until he returned to the office. His words have always stuck with in my career choices, "You know, this is not the government I can do whatever I want and if you were not happy with your position or salary, I sure wish you had spoken with me before seeking employment elsewhere."

With that said, my thoughts are that if a position with Apple is posted that that I have a yearning desire to have, the "submit" icon will definitely be selected to add my application/resume to the pool of applicants!!!:D
