Okay, I got the 1st questionnaire (9/18) filled it out and nothing. No response at all! I'm hoping the recruiter is just on vacation or something.

Hmm maybe. I will call first thing

Yup. To your email. You haven't gotten anything so don't sweat it.

Being a professional analyst, perhaps, they are waiting to see how many successfully pass the exams in the 9/10 to 9/24 sessions to ensure maintenance of a budgetary quota for this position. However, that's a mere assumption on my behalf.

Not yet...still waiting. Have you heard anything?

Nothing yet for me either. Background check was waiting on a court entry record for a speeding ticket when I called and checked Friday. Hopefully will hear later this week :)

Will the recruiter call or email with job offer?

Job

I did my 2nd interview with Brian. Will I have another?
I've read some of the post, do they really tell you not to use the computer for personal use? We won't be working 24/7.
What is the company discount? Can I buy an IPhone?
I'm nervous about HireRight. Anyone have in formation on their process that could ease my mind.

They make it very clear on the first day that you are not use the computer when you are not working your shift. Very easy for them to know if you logged into your computer outside of your working hours. Not worth chancing.

TO EASE SOME minds

My process as follows:

-1st. Initial profile app.
-Six hours later First Email Answering ten questions.
-Next day A call asking me basic questions. The kind lady suggested I put things in laymen terms. IE me explaining what not only RAM is but the RIMMS,DIMMS AND SIMMS, the history and how Processors work, the magnetic physics behind how hard drives work as well as how SSDS work (Little too much guys).

- Two days later another I chat which turned into a phone call due to Ichat cutting out. Interview went great. I answered all questions perfectly and dumbed things down.

-I get a email to set a date. I schedule another interview which is Two weeks out.
-Next Interview was a call, no Ichat. Questions were more advanced and theory craft. IE. asking me about home networking. The recruiter knowing I know my stuff asked me more advanced question about networking. Like IE: Why is the mail not working if internet is working on all other computers? Then What possible reasons could someone not be able to connect to Safari or web browser.

-Got an Email for invitation to fill out App.
-After filling out App had an email from hire right.

Background on me: I have been fixing PCs, consoles and mobile devices for 4 years and customer service experience to go with it. At the moment in school for mobile development and programming.

And to people with hire right questions. They call your references and past jobs to confirm work history, not sure what else they do. Also if you have any thing in your past be honest. Apple cares more about that than anything.

Hope this helps you guys out. Good luck, be honest and yourself.

I've asked my three references if they've been called and none of them have and my BG was submitted 9 days ago

Benefits

Enrolled in benefits today. Surprising how comprehensive and affordable coverage is. I can't believe how ridiculously low the deductible is for medical. And, no deductible for prescriptions. The fact that they offer full benefits to part-timers is mind blowing. Seems like we are making more than $15-$16/hour when you factor all of this in. My perception of Apple has completely changed.

What's the chances of getting the job if I have my third interview on Thursday and have filled out the official application?

Thanks

Have to make it past third interview and progress to get the hireright email. It's a coin toss really. Just be personable and know your tech stuff

Now that's what I'm talking about! I pay $498 per month for a federal gov't PPO plan. Thanks for sharing for this was one of my most concerns.

On today, I also had a telephone interview with another well-known company for its work-at-home customer service position. It pays less than Apple (a little over $11), has a prolonged waiting period before eligibility of medical benefits; no paid time off for part-time employees, and pays for telephone line installation but you have to eat the costs of monthly services -- no additional reimbursement or utility compensation incentive.

The only up was that you're guaranteed 30 hrs per week and get to select your schedule b/w the hrs of 9-11, one day on the weekend and work holidays. However, you're committed to the selected schedule for one full year before you can revise it; you're not required to be available during peak hours either.

We're very fortunate to have this opportunity with Apple.

We're very fortunate to have this opportunity with Apple.

The reimbursement (up $50) for telephone/internet comes in a separate check / direct deposit automatically each month. You submit your bill(s) once to your manager and that's it. No hoops to jump through every month. Bills don't need to be in your name, just same address as listed in your HR record.
