Curious if your iPhone ever left Maspeth - my typical CC is Long Island City, and I requested it to be held there, but according to my tracking it looks like my phone is being held in Maspeth.

Yes, it was sent to Springfield Gardens early this morning and is out for delivery now :)

I decided since I had a Next Day Air package coming to let the phone deliver to me at home. Very Bad choice on my part, the former now has a delivery time of 10am - 2pm but the phone is 4pm - 8pm. Oh well.

My 12 Pro pacific blue finally shipped this morning! It was supposed to deliver on Oct 30-Nov 3 but now it says delivery on Tuesday Oct 27th!

Hope everyone lucky enough to get it day one is enjoying their new phones!

I’m in Maryland just outside of DC and I see the same thing. I’m kinda nervous now that it’s almost 7AM and it’s not at the local distribution center. My hope is that there are just so many they didn’t scan them and then all of a sudden we’ll get an out for delivery soon.

Seeing some other people’s delayed for a late truck stinks and I hope I’m not in that same truck.

Once it is on the truck the UPS app showed me where it was. It gave me a 4 hour window, 11:30-3:30 and it got here around 2:45.

Within that period it was within a block of me several times but they have to follow a certain route (right turns only etc.) so it being near you doesn't mean it'll be delivered right now.
Our UPS guy/gal takes about 2-3 hours on the same three neighborhood blocks.

I guess is he takes lunch at that time, and takes a bite, then moved the truck a few feet, then repeats... lol

UPS is pretty good about delivery packages to the same address together. I have never had 2 PS trucks come to the house in one day. This is not Amazon, where I have had 3 different trucks deliver to my house in the same time at different times. One time they actually met in the driveway.

I would think the earlier package has a special commitment and they would just move the phone up to that time.

Excellent! Mine arrived 6:44, departed 6:52. I'm in the district proper though, so would sense for them to go their separate ways at this point

That does make sense. Just saw this:

Not sure why it took so long to get its destination scan. Status is now "Preparing for Delivery." I've had packages get stuck on this status before, only to be delayed. I'll have to just hope that there's some weirdness with the scanning and that my phone found its way to a truck.

Had the same note on mine, were you on the 11:57pm arrival into ZZ ?

yes! we're on the same pallet. Mine is out for delivery, maybe it happens and ups is more detailed with notes year after year. But seeing how others are being bumped to Monday, there were technical issues on Chinese side and some were not shipped till like Thursday?

Well mine has been ‘loaded on delivery vehicle’ since a little before 5 am. Cmon, let’s get going already! Lol

I’m sure it’s been said somewhere in these 370 pages, but you don’t have to be home this year to sign for it, correct? I’ve got a lunch scheduled and my UPS deliveries tend to happen about noon. I’m otherwise home all day. I’d hate to have to wait til next week.

Just showed up to the Apple Store (30 mins early 😬). Going to wait until 15 mins before my appt then I will head in and hope they let me wait for the appt at 8 or just give me the phone early.

Does anyone know if a signature is required? I am worried because my previous UPS deliveries I've noticed the drivers do not wear masks.
Not sure of the accuracy of this, but I read somewhere in here that you do have to be present and state your name, but a physical signature is not required. They will just leave it at your door.

Here’s the official stance from UPS’ website:

“In the interest of employee and customer safety, UPS’s Signature Required guidelines are temporarily being adjusted such that consignees will no longer need to sign for UPS Signature Required deliveries. Despite this adjusted process the driver will still need to make contact with the consignee. The consignee must, at the time of delivery, acknowledge that UPS is making a delivery and, if applicable, show government issued photo ID.”

Signature not required. But you might have to be present for the driver to deliver.
