I highly recommend using OTP Auth for authentication. You can sync across devices via iCloud. It is a great app and much better than Authy or Google, which I refuse to have anything to do with.
Also, Google Authenticator gave me a scare today. Refuses to launch, keeps crashing to home since iOS 14.2. Much searching found that you have to offload the app and then reinstall it to get it to work again. I'll be switching to another Authenticator on Friday, I'm done with Google for that. Heard good things about Authy, but I might have to check out OTP Auth.

Between the Authenticator not being updated for the past 2 years and my 13 years of Google Photos that I now need to download and back up if I don't want to pay for "Apple One" *and* "Google One"... Google's on my ?list today.

come to think about it apple only release the iphone on actual date is a bad planing & waste of resources. Example this coming fri13 they release Pro Max and if MAX already store inside the warehouse just waiting for time as apple say so. DHL, Fadex, UPS...etc will require to have a extreme lot of man power (or even outsource for this particular day) just to deliver 1 phone to a particular area. Then they might have to come back to this same area if another person order got a later date.

Apple should have release when phone early arrive. Singapore don’t have tracking number. It stated singapore - Singapore when I got my 12pro. I remember that fri, the DHL guy send my phone at 11.35pm. I was surprise he given me a call asking if he can still deliver the phone to me. When he here, I pass him my next day breakfast and 2 packet of cold drink. We never talk, he seems to miss his dinner then.
I totally get what you're saying, but it's also a total flex of Apple's power. FedEx messed up once and delivered some devices early way back when. Apple made their deal with UPS to deliver the phone on the stipulation to only deliver them on the day of, essentially paying extra to make sure that's done. To Apple, the amount of money to keep deliveries even is worth WAY more than some phones making it to people early and have leaks happen.

Then again, YouTube influencers already get the devices way before the average Joe (or Josephine) nowadays so meh ... just more flex.

I use Authenticator. They make a deliberate choice to not backup authentications to iCloud, as that sort of defeats the purpose if your iCloud gets hacked.

I used Authy before OTP Auth. OTP is much more refined and secure versus Authy, which wants to use your phone to secure the account. OTP doesn’t need ask for phone. OTP also works great with the Apple Watch.

I have 2FA turned on my iCloud account. I also have a very long password that would take over a million years to figure out. I am not worried about the hacking issue. iCloud is encrypted as well, as far as I am aware.

The iCloud syncing with OTP Auth is optional as well.

Havent been keeping up with the thread but has anyones Pro Max phone shipped yet? Website is still showing as preparing to ship for Friday delivery.
Most of the phones have shipped already and are somewhere in the states: Alaska or Kentucky. A couple stragglers still in China

Yes, almost everyone’s phones have shipped, but it won’t appear that way on Apple’s website until tomorrow or Friday. Search by reference (phone or order number) on UPS website.

I was able to get this on UPS. But can't get the full tracking number to see full tracking history, or where it is!

Looks like you're not using a full account. You should be able to create a UPS account for free and use your delivery address. From there, you should see a full list of your deliveries, when they're coming and where they specifically are at. It's totally worth it even outside the iPhone delivery capacity.

Thanks for the info. I created a UPS My Choice account. Figured that would be enough to be a full account.

Neat! So all that's left is to associate an address with your account. You might go through some "credit reporting" type questions, but so long as its you and your credit report isn't out of wack, you should be good.

Wishing you all the very best of luck that you all have a nice scan this evening/tomorrow morning. I remember how nerve-wracking the suspense is. My iPhone was received 6 days after launch and I was the happiest person in the world (nobody tell Mr. bitter pants I found joy in having my "disposable thing" delivered).

Order Update: I just noticed my MBP moved from "processing" to "preparing to ship"

(what!? I just want to still feel relevant in here :p )

The ferris wheel is called the High Roller. My fiancee and I went on it a few years ago. I have acrophobia, but it didn't bother me at all, the cars are so big on the wheel and move so slowly.
Plus, alcohol... no?
