For those that ordered cases/accessories. I just got the dreaded "Exception" - A late UPS trailer arrival has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible.
I got the same email. No longer expected today. They sit on a throne of lies.....

I am finally able to change my delivery to my local CC. I had to search to the 27th spot to select it, It was always in the 27th spot but before when I selected it it said pick up not available at this location. So to those who were getting denied try it again.

Anyone who ordered direct from Apple.com based in the UK know if there is a way to check on the delivery status like the US folks have with UPS?

If the pattern from last year holds we should see movement in the next 8-10h. Last year phones started leaving ZhengZhou on Wednesday china time around 8am (currently it is 11:40pm Tuesday there).
I got this on my desktop. I'm not obsessed, am I? I need someone to tell me I'm not obsessed and then point me towards every UPS flight leaving China in the next 24 hours and probability on whether our phones are on them and as many other details as you can provide.

My current status with UPS:

Slightly worryingly it is showing this:
Scheduled Delivery:

Friday 09/21/2018, By End of Day
(Updated)
(Tentative)

ZhengZhou, China 09/18/2018 8:30 P.M. Arrival Scan
09/18/2018 7:51 P.M. Departure Scan
China 09/18/2018 4:27 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

UPS Choice won't let me select a Customer Centre for some reason. Anyone found a way round this? Also can you pick up on Saturday from there if I missed my delivery on Friday?

You're not crazy, friend. I'm about to set up my Apple Watch to show me the same XD

Mine is showing scans and is in my UPS Choice, but when I choose to get it delivered to a pickup location it shows estimated delivery 24th, going to my house its 21st - anyone else have this?

Yeah, take a quick look back at a few pages: do not pick a UPS Store or anything other than the Customer Center (big hub where your package is put on the truck for delivery to your house) in order to pick up your package on the 21st. Any other location will likely delay delivery to the following Monday because they will reroute the package.

Why would you be worried? If it says delivery of September 21st..

UPS allows us to track via the reference numbers and Apple uses phone and order numbers for part of the reference numbers so it will show up. So that all depends on your carrier in the UK

I appreciate this as our support group for those of us with phones still in China

;)

You should see the consternation when iPhones move early in the process to the US, and they just sit in Louisville or nearby hubs waiting for launch day delivery. "It's right there a few miles from me! Will they give it to me now if I walk in?" It' a little maddening. :)

I wonder how many will win the lottery and get their iPhone a day early due to a glitch in the system? I bet Vegas has a betting line.

Dang, buy a good case!
Nah. It was my own doing that caused this. Had a ton of micro scratches a few weeks into getting the phone so I purposely broke it. Then the last two 1. I dropped a dumbbell on it 2. Some guy dropped a dumbbell on it. This has definitely taught me my lesson though.
