You should see the consternation when iPhones move early in the process to the US, and they just sit in Louisville or nearby hubs waiting for launch day delivery. "It's right there a few miles from me! Will they give it to me now if I walk in?" It' a little maddening. :)

I wonder how many will win the lottery and get their iPhone a day early due to a glitch in the system
Haha ... call Louisville.

"Hey Siri, call UPS Phone Place in ZhengZhou, China..."

I 100% would drive the 2.5 hours to Louisville RIGHT NOW if they would let me take it home early. Too bad it's still in ZhengZhou.

Things are moving along nicely. After finally being able to pull the tracking info from UPS it has now been added to my UPS.

Anyone else with tracking that's stuck in Hong Kong?

My current status with UPS:

Slightly worryingly it is showing this:
Scheduled Delivery:

Friday 09/21/2018, By End of Day
(Updated)
(Tentative)

ZhengZhou, China 09/18/2018 8:30 P.M. Arrival Scan
09/18/2018 7:51 P.M. Departure Scan
China 09/18/2018 4:27 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

UPS Choice won't let me select a Customer Centre for some reason. Anyone found a way round this? Also can you pick up on Saturday from there if I missed my delivery on Friday?

Lets see when mine departs, its destination is NYC.

Last year 11/3 was launch and some werent leaving Zhengzhou until 11/1 at late night.

Remember the time warp factor that hurts your head to think about; the arrival time in Alaska is earlier than the time left China. So the 11/1 10:30pm departure from China arrived 11/1 at 6pm in Alaska and then Kentucky 11/2 at 3am for 11/3 delivery.

Plenty of time left. There may not be movement on many until even tomm Wed night. Even the ones that flew out of china 10/31 last year (which would be today in relation to launch day) weren't scanned at Kentucky until 11/2 morning (which would be Thursday morning this launch) as well, they sat there.

Some will fly out today, some tomorrow

Xs Max still vacationing in ZhengZhou w/the 2am arrival scan. I know we'll see progress by tomorrow but today's always the antsy annoying day since it's typically the longest stretch w/o a scan. Fingers crossed :)

I Ordered 2 XsMax which showed up in UPS a couple days ago. I Also ordered a 64 Xs Silver which just now shows up in UPS as ready for pickup - so much for the 'already in the States' theory.
All are still 'preparing for Shipment' in Apple's system.
All were promised 9/21 and I don't doubt it.

For some reason this time, I don't get the option to choose my Customer Service center while I do see all the access point and retail stores (which doesn't offer an advantage and may mean a delay).
I'll wait to see if that changes once they are officially 'shipped' and call UPS if I still have a problem.
Anyone else experience this? I wonder if being a household customer makes a difference or their distribution route changed.
