I bought the SIM-free model, so I didn't see it... but those who bought carrier specific versions are reporting it... and it's probably in their confirmation emails, as well.

Here's a post with a screen print that shows the $30 fee.

That's an ATT Next order not an Apple Upgrade Program order. Not surprising that ATT has extra feeds.

Looks like they put T-Mobile users on the back burner for pre-orders 3:06 and already into October while others are the 21st
It was the same last year but then a day or two later they bumped up the date. Hoping for the same this time. Next time I’ll be smart and order the sim free version.

Same here. What sucks Is having to pay that, even though I will be leaving AT&T when my Directv contract ends. Only reason I went to AT&T. Now just need to
figure out who to switch too. TM or Verizon.
TM - less crap. Straight forward billing.

I completed my Apple Upgrade Program T-Mobile XS Max order within one minute after the store opened on the App. My order shows 21 September delivery.

You’re actually both wrong. The X isn’t a smaller display than 6Plus nor is it “much narrower”. It’s much taller than 6Plus and only 0.052” thinner than 6+. So I’m all practical ways X is superior to 6Plus and 7Plus - even in size. The Max this year, in hand hold size, is identical to Plus phones - but it’s all screen!
In hand, it felt incredibly narrow to me. So much-so that typing was a challenge. I returned it last year and ended up waiting for the XS Max. To each their own. :)

No especially not with sim free. I do this every year with T-Mobile as the previous T-Mobile version did not have cdma so I always waited for the sim free option. Glad that it was finally available on launch.
I don’t think T-Mobile charges those bogus upgrade fees.

I was just at Apple.com handling the pre-order on an iPhone XS Max Gold 512GB. It's not available for pickup at my chosen store location, nor is it available for pickup at 9 other Apple locations - only for delivery. However, I noticed at my chosen store, 9 total XS Gold 512GB is still available for pickup on 9/21/18. Has anyone had success pre-ordering the XS Max 512 in any color for store pickup.

I don't trust delivery nor do I want to go through the hassle if it ends up missing.

I tried to order the Xs this morning at 7am for pickup at the Knoxville store and it said unavailable. Good morning fellow east Tennesseeian! Here’s to our new phones!
Hellow there. Do you plan on going in the morning to pick one up. I'm going to go at open and try to get a watch if they have any

Woke up a little past my alarm and put my order in around 3:17AM EST for a T-Mobile Xs Max 64GB in Space Gray. Was kinda pissed it already got pushed back for Oct 5-12 delivery (I was really hoping for Sept 21 delivery). But I JUST went on Apple's website right now and for the same exact model it's showing Sept 28-Oct 5 delivery... but online for my order (when I click the order # on my email and get linked to the Apple Store website) it's still showing the Oct 5-12 delivery estimate. Should I be worried? Or will I probably get my order sooner than that most likely? I wouldn't think it's very fair if people who pre-ordered the same exact model/carrier AFTER me would get it before me? I really hope a miracle happens and it comes in on launch day.

Ordered my iPhone Xs Max Space Gray 256GB at 2:02AM CST. Got my confirmation email at 2:04AM CST. Everything looks good for launch day delivery. 3rd Year is the charm. ;)

LOL the preorder madness. Yep, I'm still holding out for a pushed pick-up date past Sept 21. It hasn't changed yet here in NC :) Looks like they have plenty of stock with the XS like they did last year with the 8/8 Plus

I bet I can just choose a date to make an appointment and go in store.

I wonder when we will start seeing these shipped
Based on the last few years, Apple won’t send shipping notices until the day before delivery. But if you have my ups or a fedex account, you will probably get notified several days sooner that a delivery is coming.

You can contact Apple or when your order shows "Order is in Progress" you can actually edit the shipping address which should be right now. Just make sure to do it before it shows "Preparing to Ship". You will need a computer to change the shipping address and it shouldn't affect your delivery date.

I’m trying to contact Apple now. I went online on my computer and didn’t see an option to edit my shipping address.

I was thrilled that the Apple Store app was actually up at 12:01am for the first time in several years. Ordered at 12:02am, confirmation email for watch @ 12:03am, phone @ 12:04am, bedtime 12:05am. Of course, then I was too excited to sleep. :D

Ordered phone first, then watch, just to be safe. Interesting that the watch had no in-store pickups available so I just opted for delivery for both so they'll arrive on the 21st (I assume as two separate shipments).

I got 9/21 on my XsMax 256GB Gold iPhone, 9/21 on my Gold S4 40 mm watch and 9/18 on my Apple Product Red Leather Folio (Smart Cover) for the iPhone.

We are leaving for Europe in early October. So glad I will have everything in time for our trip. It will be great to watch videos on the 'big screen' of the iPhone on the plane

Actually you don’t need a computer. You just need to view your orders at apple.com

So I was just told by someone at Apple over the phone that they aren’t able to change the shipping address. It has to go to the same address as the loan.

Last year I was able to ship it to my work so I guess they changed that.
