So are we just ignoring the "shipment on hold" message from apple for now?
Considering that there are enough of us whose phones are still in Incheon and did NOT receive the "shipment on hold" message, I think they're all going to be leaving on one of two planes departing within the hour.

Oooh mines super fresh.....

For those who see the Shipment On Hold message, I have that as well on the web page. The rest of the status is "There is an issue with your delivery and the carrier is unable to deliver your package. Please contact us at 1-800-MY-APPLE." But like everyone else, UPS doesn't report any issues.

I checked the status on the Apple Store app and it just says shipped with no On Hold message. Something must be messed up on the web site.

Maybe they have a hold (NOT Authorized) on UPS delivers until the official release date of 9/21/18.

Same as me!

Unfortunately, with this many “on hold” emails (which are NOT normal), I think there was actually a disruption somewhere and phones are really going to be set back by a day while they recover. Bad news I know but this is not the same “this happens every year” thing.

Eh, a few years ago the carriers accidentally delivered a bunch of phones a day early (including mine), after which Apple freaked. This is just as likely some sort of internal hold process between Apple and UPS that is being picked up by Apple’s automated system as a carrier issue. UPS’s tracking is what matters.

Yep apple didnt even say shipped until 3:10 this am so until UPS tells me its delayed it's not

be careful. last year i got a phone that was programmed with someone else’s number and i dont notice it until i already programmed the new Sim. i had that number for about an hour before people were texting asking who it was lol. it was MESSY. i totally stole someone’s number.

Yikes. How did you sort that out? With your carrier I presume?

When I contacted Apple by text the said there was a Service Issue

Okay, I have an actual time constraint. I have pre-ordered 2 Max phones to the US (my Mom is visiting there) and she leaves on the 26th to come back to India and bring in my phones. Now, 1 of my phones is in Louisville and the other one is squatting at Incheon for the last 24 hours (which now shows up as 'On Hold'). Lets say there is an actual issue on the ground, in your experience will the shipment get delayed beyond 24th/25th? Coz then, am really screwed. Just two more UPS flights scheduled for today :(

You’re cutting it close. If it’s delayed on Friday it would very likely be Monday until it was corrected and delivered. UPS delivers on Saturday but has limited processing that day.

I have the same departure scan. I am assuming the flight already made it to anchorage as there’s no active flight from HK to Anchorage.
