I’ve done that... you just go to the sprint website and click on activate a new phone or whatever, and follow the steps. You should be able to use your current SIM card.
I’ve been looking for the answer to this everywhere lol. By any chance did you go from a iPhone X to an XS/Max using the same sim with no activation issues?
 
My phone has shipped. So far date tentative for delivery. Had an Oct 8th-15th delivery date. Now comes the rollercoaster ride......

Update: Just checked my email and I got 2 from Apple. First one was phone shipped with Oct 1st delivery and 2nd one is trade In kit is on its way. They didn’t need to send that as I still have the one they sent for my first phone that I returned.

Update #2: Apple website says phone scheduled for Sept 28th delivery. Phone is At clearing agency for final release. Interesting my first phone shipped from Shenzhen whereas the new phone from Zhengzhou. First phone was an XS 2nd phone an XS Max.

They put the serial number of the phone that is to be returned on the return label. So yeah, it is necessary.
 
Well so much for delivery today. There has been a delay and delivery has gone back to the original 9/28 delivery. Here I thought I was one of the few getting a perfect UPS tracking and delivery. Oh well too good to be true.

Yeah, my phone has the same delay. Lame. It still claims Sep 28 delivery, but who knows how accurate that is, based on the other stories in this thread.
I should have known the fast progression so far was too good to be true.
 
Hi to everyone. I’m italian and i’d like to buy a brand new iphone xs max in apple store in miami. I’d like to know if i can buy an att, spring or tmobile iphone(paying the whole cost immediately) and then activate it in italy with my italian simcard. Is it possible? Or should i buy a sim free edition(it’s not available yet)?Thanks

Got to say even with the delay, ordering on Sept 23rd with a promised delivery of Oct 8th-15th, actual delivery Sept 28th (if it holds) is pretty good.

Buying through the iPhone upgrade program all phones come unlocked, so it doesn’t matter which carrier you get. Now buying full pop i don’t know. Ask the specialist if all phones come unlocked. If not then get Sim free. Buying from Apple though I believe all phones they sell are unlocked, so it doesn’t matter which carrier. Or if you are unsure wait until you get back to Italy to buy .

I believe most Apple Store in U.S should have availability. YOu can always check istocknow.com. Sim-Free model is available as well, it has been since launch day.

You may want to check on the LTE Band and see if there is a band that works in your country. Most likely it should but if you are looking for a specific one.
 
My phone got an Import scan once again at 12:21 and the delay has been taken off. I assume it will be put on UPS2900 for a 4:20 flight to Los Angeles. Im hoping it doesn’t get delayed again.

Update: Plane took off for L.A. No scans yet so don't know if phone is on this flight. There is one more flight tomorrow morning at 3:30AM. If it is going to be delivered as it says on 9/28, then it was to be on one of these 2 flights. We will see.

Update: I got departure scan at 4:15.

My Silver Max is coming today by 4:30. I didn't order it until this Monday the 24th and it's coming here in 4 DAYS from China!!!
 
After I returned my pre-ordered XS gold (just didn't like the color), I ordered a Silver 64GB MAX on the apple website yesterday to pick up right after work. Then my husband who didn't pre-order when I did my gold, decided he wanted the new phone, so we went to the Verizon store last night and he got the SG 256 Max for himself. And A whole lot of stuff for his new MAX. I've never owned a larger phone before. Didn't think I'd like it, but I do.

Anyway the point is, that you can still get them in the stores.

I ordered mine Sunday afternoon the 23rd. I am picking it up today the 28th. There was a delay on the 27th, otherwise I would of gotten it then. So basically got the phone in 4 1/2 days versus the Oct 8th-15th delivery said by Apple when I ordered it.
 
Posted this in another thread but thought I should share here as well since it's an Apple pre-order post...

Mine was supposed to be here Tuesday, October 2nd (originally ordered on Tuesday, September 25th). I just checked and now it's supposed to be here today by end of day. So it's about 5 days ahead of schedule. iPhone XS Max, Silver 64GB.

Apple really seems to have it together on this one, availability is not because sales are down since we keep seeing reports about how well the Max is selling. They seemed to have done a better job of keeping up with inventory this time around. Kudos to them.
 
Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you had this issue. I ordered on the 24th and got shipping notification last night around this same time that my package would be shipped by FedEx (my first red flag).

I kept checking the FedEx tracking number and it keeps giving me an error that the tracking number does not exist. I called Apple and they said my delivery date is supposedly tomorrow but this is as much as they can provide on my end.

Have any of you had any issues with tracking numbers and FedEx specifically?

I am really hoping they are just having system errors and that the phone is in transit as we speak :(

Did you buy through the IUP program? If so the Fed Ex delivery is the trade in kit, to send your old phone back. The new phone comes UPS.....
