What does this mean? Did it leave Zhangzhou at all? How long does it take until they give me an estimated delivery date? Phone was supposed to be delivered tomorrow. UPS’ incompetence is really trying my patience.

I received my silver xs today. I ordered 9/19.

UPS gave me two different dates. First one was Mon 9/24, then the status was rescheduled, check back for updates. Then it said scheduled for delivery today 9/25. I received it today. Once it cleared customs you get it quickly. UPS is playing guessing games.

I assume that they update on the destination scan will update at OOB tomorrow. I'm anticipating that the next update will show the phones in the US with a new delivery date (probably 1 or 2 days delayed). Not exactly ideal, i'm just eager to play with my toy!
Well probably more than 1 or 2 days? Both apple and ups really didn't prepare for this at all, why cant they use fedex

So this morning I got an email from Apple saying they wanted to talk to me about my delivery.

It was supposed to be delivered Friday and that didn’t happen. Then it was supposed to come Monday by 10:30 AM, and that surely did not happen.

I checked UPS tracking and it’s been sitting in Ontario Canada since Friday night, but it got there via Louisville Kentucky from Alaska??? Weird.

So I talked to Apple and guess what they told me? Absolutely nothing. I have no idea why they sent an email saying they wanted to discuss it with me because the person that I talked to had no****ingclue as to what was going on and no idea when my phone will be delivered.

I don’t know what to believe but I’m not checking or talking to anyone any more. It will arrive when it arrives but I will say that the joy has been sucked out of the whole thing LOL

Are you sure it was in Ontario, Canada and not Ontario, California?

Mine has been in ZZ for lord knows how long. I just received an update from UPS "Your package was released by the customs agency." 9:12 PM

Same here. I think it’s bs, UPS seems to unreliable in their tracking updates. But at least it’s free right. My phone was supposed to come today, but I guess it should be here by Friday. Does anyone know when the next flight leaves?

This is insane and honestly extremely unacceptable! I saw a few stories about the "Delivery date" delays UPS...etc. Big mess.What the -- is the reason for this UPS extreme fail??

Did you get it yesterday - is it coming today??

I absolutely agree with this - the failure always comes back to the original company - in this case Apple, even if UPS royally screwed up! God, I remember what felt like a lifetime ago, I worked as a Customer Service rep and Promotions at CDNOW .com back in the late 90s, early 00's

Sounds primitive now..this days of online ordering CDs,DVDs, etc. But anyway, there here was BIG promotion for the new Backstreet Boys CD in Spring 1999. Massive pre-order promotion and there were well over 10K of pre-orders, that number was a lot at the time. Well, About 95% of those CDs never reached the people on the Tues. release date. Again, that was failure from UPS. And the CDs that did arrive..quite a few had smashed cases, CDs shattered. Other orders...the CDs eventually arrived...some 1- even 2 weeks later.

So the outrage was insane..lot of sad kids, teens not getting this big new release - then the angry parents emails, called non stop for what felt like forever. The solution for some was a total refund, many would get a $10 off for the next purchase. Big loss of money

No one cared UPS screwed up, it was CDNOW's fault and yes..I agree.

What I am saying, it all comes down to Apple. Those who dropped 1000+ on the phone, 500+ on the watch - super excited to get that on Fri. - watching videos, news of people getting their devices at the store, even having some devices like the watch in stores on Sat! That is a deflating, depressing, even anxiety inducing feeling for many. And they STILL haven't seen it today - they should be compensated.

I would say a $20, 30 Apple gift certificate should be given either a physical card - or a code that can applied to the accounts.

Just my opinion on that.
I'm sorry but no where did it ever say Friday the 21st or whatever date given was a Guarantee. It was a scheduled date and was tentative from day one. That's the risk you take pre ordering online nothing is guaranteed and Apple shouldn't be responsible for unavoidable delays. If you want a better shot at getting the phone on a certain date then get your a** outta bed and go get it. When you rely on someone else to bring it to you than you should expect a delay

The flights are all jacked up from the Chinese federal holiday so there is no telling. I assume there is a big stack of iPhones and Watches that have been waiting to be sent out for the last 4 days, and UPS has more than just Apple products that they have a commitment to deliver (which makes It worse because so much stuff is backed up now). But if I had to guess our phones should be on a flight in less than 15 hours just based off of previous years. There are a few flights from ZZ and Hong Kong at 12 Eastern Tomorrow (Wednesday).

Lucky for you guys that has the local in stock. In my area, just simply none. Even with orders online, the local pickup option is not available. Never been in this pre-order process before, so I couldn't speak for the past. But for this launch, Apple certainly didn't do a very good job on that aspect. Then again, maybe it is designed to be that way, and may generate even higher hype on the products...... Definitely will not do that again for sure.

Yeah I was honestly surprised there was no line for the phone in the morning and plenty of stock of all the models. I went back to the store to return my pre-ordered XS in the afternoon and there was lady who walked in front of me and the greeter set her up to purchase an iPhone and they still all the models in stock.

I was going to buy from apple store since I am going to replace by dad 64 go to 256xs max

Our phones are together as mine departed Zhengzhou at the same time and is scheduled for the 28th also.
