Lets be honest apple didn’t sell this year as much as they usually do. If u try to purchase one now u can still get an ok date. Remember the previous years if you try to order after launch day it will tell you 3 to 4 weeks.
I think apple needs to understand that they are getting boring. Ios 12 didn’t bring any news this year. Three new iphones are basically a copy of the iphone x that came out last year.
Why do you think they didint sell out, even though it never really “sells out.” Your delivery date just gets pushed back. It’s because it’s the same phone chassis as last year so it’s not like they’re making anything new..

This gets said every year but it bears repeating: ship dates are not necessarily related to sales figures. In order to make that correlation you would have to have manufacturing data (how many phones does Apple have ready to sell on launch day, etc).

UPS STORE WILL CAUSE DELAY, i highly recommend that you not do hub if you dont know what youre doing. if you pick the wrong hub you will cause a delay.
Wrong you can have it held there. It’s exactly what I did last year. Once you get your tracking number, call UPS ask them which CC (Customer Center) handles your packages and just have it held through the UPS app.

So once I have the tracking number I can specifically them which customer center handles the package? Is that exactly how I should word that?

Thank you!

It clearly states on the email as well as the order page right under the price that you will be charged two separate times. One for tax and one for payment to citizens.
And as I said, none of these charges are for/by Citizens. This charge is from Apple and does not match anything they should be charging. Apple does not do charging for Citizens any more, that was several years ago.

To be explicit: I was charged for the watch order in full (including AC+), and the two phone taxes, and then the new one today. There is nothing else from APPLE.

Citizens' charges comes after/around when the phones arrive and and by them for month one. I know how that works, been an IUP member since day one and have had two monthly charges from them for two years for two phones. And the charges for the new phones are (will be) $49.91 (Xs) and $60.33 (XsM) and have nothing to do with the $81.37 charged this morning.

Also, the tax charges were $65.91 and $80.91 for the two phones, and those already came Friday AM (along with the AW charge) after I placed the orders.

All I was asking if anyone had seen charges that they can't explain. :D Guess that's not the case.

I have the same problem for my Apple Watch order. Probably because that order has an extra strap that’s shipping after 9/21 and a trade in kit in pending shipment while the Watch is processing. My order for iPhone Xs that only has 1 item works fine in Deliveries.
I also have the same problem with the Deliveries app for my Apple Watch order. (I'm returning my current watch through Apple's Give Back Program.) My other orders, including one with two items, are working properly.

I have reported the situation to JuneCloud and they're looking into it.

The smart way to go is to buy an unlocked phone paid in full. Less wait times. I ordered mine at 730am and it will be here on the 21st

I did too some say I’m nuts but don’t need to make payments and can go to the carrier I want

EXACTLY!
Especially since there has been no reports of supply constraints this year like there has been almost every year for a while now.
Perhaps they simply got on the ball and made enough inventory to supply the huge demand they anticipated this year.
The fact is, NO ONE KNOWS.

This might sound outlandish but I think it's because Apple Park is finally finished and they have moved in. Think about it. The five years that building was under construction has been torture for Apple fans. Few updates to desktops/laptops. Long waits for iPhone orders. Last update to the iPod touch? Back in 2015 and they don't even mention the lineup at events anymore.

I know they have tonnes of engineers and software folks but for a while now I've suspected that Apple had bitten off more than it could reasonably chew. There has a been a considerable slowdown even to just processor bumps in desktop/laptop hardware (hey there Mac mini). Now that the new campus is settled perhaps we'll start to see more hardware updates more frequently. We keep talking about availability for this years order so consider that last year the talk was about constraints because of difficulty mass producing the FaceID hardware. This year they are making enough for the Xs, Xs Max and however many for the five colors of the Xr and enough A12 Bionics for each of those as well.

Just my ¢2 but this year might mark the return of the Apple that Steve Jobs spoiled us on for the five glorious years prior to his passing.

This is a very optimistic view.

The reason why there are so many models this year as opposed to last year is, they didn't have enough OLED panels to release the Xs Max. That model was supposed to come out with the X last year. Lack of supply is what caused it not to be released.

Agreed that the OLED panels are difficult to make in high yield but last year Samsung was their sole supplier. This year they added LG. As well I think last year there was some difficulty with the FaceID hardware and between that and panel availability they knew well in advance there was no way to produce enough for two models and never intended to release two sizes. I'm curious to see how that works out because LG's screens in the past have been inferior to Samsung's.
