Going to cancel my order. I can't justify financing $1500(XS/256GB/One monthly early payment on my 8) all for a bigger OLED screen when IOS 12 is running great on my 8. They're out of their minds on pricing with the XS. Besides I spend too much time on my phone anyway.

So...... if my order still stays in progress with no UPS tracking through my choice or reference - is there just a chance that they havn't updated yet or could it be delayed?

Just so y’all know, if using the iOS app for UPS, it doesn’t seem to show CC. I had to use the desktop site to see it.

Pretty weird. I just logged onto the desktop site and it still only offers stupid UPS Stores. Guess I'll just wait it out. Delivery in my neighborhood is always late, like 4-5pm, and I know the backup/restore process to the new phone takes like 5 hours (I have a TON of apps). Bleh.

Download all your apps to your Mac. Will speed things up.

I pick mine up before work so I got 9 hours setting up that’s much better then actually working lol

Whoa... that's... an option? I'll go poking around in the settings then. I just do the normal sync/backup to iTunes once a week or so, then when I get a new phone I do the restore from backup - but last year took 5 hours.

Two problems with that. One, the latest versions of iTunes don't allow that anymore and two, you lose the ability of partial installs to save space. That is, you get the full app, not the slimmed down version, as desktop restores put all the app modules on board, including the unneeded iPad parts.

Like the X but could use the bigger real estate

I’m switching from the 7 so the screen do XS will definitely seem bigger. Some friends have the 8+ , it looks great but too big for me. But never say never ..maybe in a couple of years I’ll say the exact opposite !

You aren't alone in thinking that. I have a 7 Plus that works just fine and I did think about cancelling my order. But I kind of want the upgrade, I was going to go for the XS Max but too much money for me so I ordered a similar model to the one you ordered.
