Carrier Apple.com New 2018 iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I do recall that happening one year with the iPhone launch... supposedly they had some sort of "power outage", and were still "recovering". As I recall, the lady didn't seem to care a whole lot for her job - attitude was poor.
 
No one has export scans today? So guessing we are looking at the next round of flights leaving China tomorrow and Wednesday.
 
I now have 3 different tracking numbers for the same phone with various imports and export scans.

Yes and yes.

It appears that there is adequate supply for the Xs Max this year... and there also appears to be a good number of people waiting for the Xr.
 
I signed up for IUP with a Verizon phone and have questions.

1. I still owe VeriZon for my IPhone X via Verizon’s upgrade program. When do I pay or turn in my phone to Verizon?

2. One I get my XS Max, can I switch carriers and move my service to T-Mobile?

One analyst stated sales for the XS would be lack luster and the watch and XR are the more anticipated models

Once you get your new phone activated

Yes you should be able to since you did not finance thru the carrier this time

Typically I wait till I get an e-mail or text from UPS stating it's ready for pick up.

The same thing happened to me last year. 10 of us stood at the gate at 8 am and waited for 15 minutes for them to open. When the lady came out, she said, "you people and your phones!" in exasperation.

Any idea what the timing is on that email/text saying it's ready to be picked up? I'm debating whether to fight rush hour traffic to be there at 8am or to wait until a little later in the morning. If there's a chance I'm just going to have sit at the UPS hub anyway...then I might as well wait until mid-morning.

If you wanted to get phone on release day, you had to make the 12th payment. If you didn't want to pay the $49 you could have waited until your 12th payment went though and then ordered your phone. Either way, you owed that $49, you are basically paying it like 3 weeks early.

Agree with the $30 dollar BS upgrade charge.

I have all of these scans

China 09/16/2018 7:48 P.M. Order Processed: Ready for UPS

but they are dated & times the same as people who had them way before they showed up on my tracking so i am super confused.

It varies a little, but I usually see the "ready for pickup" notice on the UPS website before I get the email. If you have to deal with heavy rush hour traffic, it might be worth waiting a bit, plus the line will likely have dissipated by then, too.

I do remember another time, for a different item, the tracking showed that it was at the hub, but it didn't show ready for pickup. I went early, but it wasn't ready, so I had to come back at lunch. My bad.

Is there a way to change delivery, say to a UPS Hub? Chances are I won't be home on delivery day. I can't remember how I did this last year. HAHA
