Holding on to my iPhone X. May update to the new watch later this year.
Same exactly.

the woman with the 9 inch wedge shoes talking about saving the planet was absolutely terrifying
Yes, they did what they've done countless times before...improved the iPhone. What continually amazes me is how they continue to hold press events as if they were doing something earth shattering.
I was watching the event and when they announced their small screen phone, there it was complete silence but as soon as they announce the big screen phone, everybody started clapping like sea lions,Thank You, Mister Cook, for eliminating the only small phone in your line up. The only Phone, that is not a ridiculous phablet.
I had no idea, that You zeroed out customer satisfaction.
And still no new mac mini. Apple just hit rock bottom.
Bozos all over the place.
Steve would have never allowed this.
This is a very sad day for me. As somebody who has been using Apple products since 1981, I am deeply disappointed.
It's about ergonomics. I want a phone that fits in the palm of my hand.
I have an iPhone SE because it's got a 4-inch screen. I have never upgraded any further because I do not want a phone that is any larger than 4 inches. Price and affordability have nothing to do with it for me. It's ridiculously simple. I want a phone that fits in my shirt pocket, because that's how I choose to carry my phone.
Also I'm nearsighted by nature, so I can very comfortably read books in small type on my 4-inch iPhone SE by removing my eyeglasses and holding the phone about six inches from my face. I want a phone that is so small and light that I can hold it in one hand, hold it up to my face and read books on it while i'm lying on my back in bed. I have read hundreds of Kindle books and iBooks on my iPhone SE; it's my preferred device for all reading tasks. My iPhone SE does everything that I need the device to do. I've never seen any compelling reason to get a larger phone with any other features.
4.7 inches, as in the iPhone 6 and 7 line, is too large for me. The 6+ and 7+ at 5.5 inches were much too large. Now the smallest phones that Apple sell are even larger, at 5.8 and 6.5 inches.
I have always laughed at people using phones with shattered screens. I have never cracked or shattered a screen on any phone I've owned because I have a small phone that I always keep safe in my shirt breast pocket, which has a flap over it. I'm so attached to my iPhone and this method of using a phone that I have taken to only wearing shirts with a breast pocket with a flap on it. I've adapted my wardrobe to work with my phone. It's all very practical and it works very well for me.
I suppose one benefit that Apple is going to get out of these huge new phones is that there will be many more accidents and shattered screens which will increase their profits for repair work.
So Apple has made their decision that the desires and needs of people like me, loyal Apple customer that I have been for almost 40 years, don't matter in their scheme of things. So I will hang on to my iPhone SE with its 4-inch screen and 640 x 1136 rendered pixel resolution, until it wears out and dies. If there are new features and iOS versions that won't run on my iPhone SE, then I will choose to do without those new operating systems and features, because it's all about ergonomics for me and the Apple iPhone is no longer ergonomic.
I certainly hope Apple comes around and, with their vast manufacturing capabilities and economies of scale, decides once again to offer a new-generation phone in a 4-inch form factor.
Controversial? Certainly wasn’t at the time. And hell, Apple is more profitable now than ever, so it’s obviously worked out. Complain about Cook all you want - but, again, stop pretending Steve was perfect and never made a bad or controversial decision.

Sigh..... looks like my SE is my last iPhone.
Sounds like a Toyota model.Where's my XSE?
My iPhone X which was lagging for so many days has started running super fast after I checked the prices for the MAX.
I don't get the hate. You don't like it? Buy an android.
The weird thing with the 6 was that they went to big and bigger, v.s. keeping a smaller phone and just adding a bigger one. Maybe it comes down to hardware design. It's much easier to pack a lot of features in a bigger phone.
I don't really understand all the people being offended (or pretending to be offended for the drama) by the pricing. The Xs is the same price as last year's X. That was what was expected. How are you shocked / offended by this? I'm quoting this poster but the same applies to all the others with similar ideas.I agree, it's left me feeling deflated - kind of repulsed by Apple's greed. I feel sick from it. Not nice.
I miss the presentation; does the new Xs and Xr have the 5G LTE radios inside it?
Does any of them come unlocked?
Yeah.
Like Exxon Mobil. They are super profitable too. Or Raytheon.
Bozo thinking.
If anyone has a link to a comparison between the X and the one just announced that's "comparable" I'd really appreciate it.
I absolutely agree.
We need a new SE.
They did mention 5G LTE, no idea about getting them unlocked, but probably (as previous phones have been available unlocked).

Stop buying Apple and move on then? Fairly simple.
