Kinda bummed and maybe even a little surprised that Apple One got bumped too. Thought that might be used to try and entice people to bundle and then raise that a year from now.

They probably should've kept the Apple One package the same and just raised the other stuff. It would've steered more people towards Apple One potentially. Then again, I'm just some schmuck on a website. I assume they have very smart people who calculated this was the right move.

Apple EASILY could've sustained the previous prices, even with inflation. The hardware price increases in Europe were bad enough; this is just greed.

Why is Apple required to subsidize consumer purchases?

Issue is everything keeps going up at high amounts and lower frequencies. Slowly more and more get priced out of just needs, so they eventually have no chance of paying anything else. Over time these corps will lose more and more revenue

It’s not all that surprising but obviously not welcome news. It does honestly put me off re-subbing to AppleTV+, which I have been considering lately. The higher the price, the more likely I (and I suspect others) will just dip in for a month or two and catch up / binge rather than let it run.

Seems like Apple TV+ is the key driver behind the Apple One price increase, but the lack of content - albeit quality content - makes it challenging to justify.

Spotify had some price increases in 2021. You can expect Spotify to increase prices further now that its competition has increased its price.

I bet these price increases are there to offset sports licenses for MLB, MLS Soccer and possibly College Football along with the possibility of the NFL. You are talking about a couple of billion dollars maybe more.
