Apple is testing new map data in France, Monaco and New Zealand. According to Justin O'Beirne, the new maps data could be released around July 14, 15.

For me, b1 on iOS and iPadOS, it is currently showing Paris with the old maps data.France is already in Preview / Testing.

There was also a discussion thread on Reddit. My wife has the new map data on her iPhone so I was able to look at it in detail.
Thank you...and now I remember reading that, but just surprised there aren't a hundred more threads on Reddit with people asking for detailed maps pics and info. Let's hope this means those countries go live for everyone by end of July!

Can someone test if France is already updated in iOS 16?
I'm going on holiday to France this summer so it would be nice if the Maps are already updated. Then I will install the Beta on my iPhone.
Not yet. France is in testing since 29 May, so hopefully might get the new maps some time in July this year, just in time for the holiday season here. 😊✌️

Nah, you are ok! You even get to see the preview of the new French maps while being located in the US!
I am in France itself and still cannot see them (the easiest test is that harbour detail in Monaco). This is how it shows for me, same old! 
To be honest, Edinburgh also has look around. But we agree that it's very little. According to Justin O'Beirne, it seems that Apple wants to release look around with poi labels in the United States and it takes a long time because it is a process that is not automated. We can imagine that it is the same for the United Kingdom and Japan.

No, it's different from the new map data. It releases the detailed city experience for everyone without having a test period with a small sample of users.
Haha yep, the only time I ever call it the "Willis Tower" is if I'm talking to someone who isn't from around here. It is and always will be Sears Tower to me 😂
Or you also have those Sox fans who still call if Cellular Field (and even those who still call it Comiskey) instead of Guaranteed Rate 😂
