And their IT department will be manned on 11/01 as well as any other data center in Bavaria that serves customers in whole Germany or other countries ;)

As I said before, service providers will be manned and work on 11/01 in Bavaria or BaWü, because customers in Hamburg, Cologne or Berlin don't care about a single holiday in Bavaria, if their paid services and products don't work. IT departments, service hotlines will work with reduced manpower, but they will work.

Of course it will be manned, but not as much as normal. It would be idiotic if they launch it while most of the developers and it guys are on a free day. There will be only 24/7 people which are maximum 1/10 of the department.

I don't think, that they work in another way than my company. And if there is a major change before, on or after such a not nation wide holiday, there is more than emergency support on site :)

No I don't say, that I will be launched on 11/01. But if Apple wants to, it would be. Nearly every participating bank has a normal work day and the others would make it possible if needed. That's something you could bet on :)

It depends on what you mean SOON

Soon: Within the next three weeks, but not even frontline staff know the exact launch date. My guess (and if you want to check: my accuracy rate has been quite high so far) is next week. I stated this back in August, so I’m just hoping I continue my record

Well three weeks ago you said pretty much the same that you expect Apple Pay within the next 2 or 3 weeks.

I guess we can all agree that nobody knows anything. We can only guess and eventually one of us will be right ...

Btw, slightly offtopic:
I can crash certain payment terminals (i.e. at DM, Kaufland, ....) with my contacless amex, if I remove the card too quickly after the beep. Only with the Amex, not with the GiroCard or MasterCards or MC/ApplePay.

I‘m wondering what will happen with Amex via ApplePay ;)

Also offtopic. Used my Curve Card today the first time. Funny stuff. Direct Push when paying. Possibility to move the payment afterwards to a different Credit card. If this will have Apple Pay it will even get better.

BTW. If someone wants to try drop me a note for a promo code (5£ Start Bonus, and I acknowledge for you and me)

Really looking forward to it. they will launch Amex support soon and then you never have to choose your card in Apple Pay but have the time later to sort out which payment on which card.

I am only worried as it is UK based. You know we have something strange going on called brexit

Oh btw. The card is really funny. Looks like a dummy on front, no name, no number. Everything is on the back.

Oh, I won‘t bet on the financial market place London if Brexit hits the ground of reality in a hard way. They will also move to France or Germany or Ireland if it is necessary. At least they will open a new location, to serve customers in the EU.

That would be really interesting for me. Using Amex at places where they usually don’t accept them. Where did you find that info?

Have that too. It beeps and nothing happens... till it’s aborted. So just need to leave the card longer on the terminal?
[doublepost=1540057492][/doublepost]Don’t have much time to read atm. Is curve free when paying in same currency the used banking card is using?

So paying with my German Amex was using the curve card is free when paying in euro? Same for ing-diba, N26, etc?

When using a card which usually uses $ its free when paying something in $???
