Well Consorsbank IS a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, which itself is launching Apple Pay in France later this year, and as well in Belgium with its subsidiary BNP Paribas Fortis according to rumors.

That’s why it wouldn’t surprise me if they would launch Apple Pay at the beginning of next year.
And them saying that they have to rely on partners means either that they’re waiting for Apple to give them the permission to officially announce the support (they are not allowed to say anything now wince they’re not a launch partner) OR they’re waiting for BNP to finalize an agreement for their German bank.

Depends on how you are behaving and what you are doing. And at least at the activation of a new number for smsTAN, they had to do something.

Funny is the complain about „why did the bank not notice anything“. If banks scan and analyze every transaction, they call it a threat to privacy. If banks don’t care about what you are doing, it’s their fault if you lose money.

This case has a certain smell... a funny taste.

BTW: that’s why we are using chipTAN. Not so comfortable but most secure way on the market beside HBCI.
I switched from HBCI to ChipTAN USB recently. Since HBCI will decease.

If I am honest I don’t think about a launch next week. This because of the launch of the new products on November the 7th and the medial attention to the new devices.

We have to wait again and again

A lot of sources said end of October. Others say mid November like R. Linsenbarth. And again others now say its December with then a huge launch. So basically theres no reliable source and we know nothing. But these few possible weeks shouldnt be too hard to wait anyway

Iirc, he predicted the announcement several times :)

We will see, we are used to wait, so called „waiting professionals“ :D

Oh, i switched to german... sorry

I know... but maybe he was just a victim of Apple. But at the end he was reliable

naja ... he only says the next 48h could be interesting ... he neither said that it will launch in the next 48h nor that he has any more information than we have.

Great page Apple. Also notice for privacy protection and big shops which are accepting AP on the web.

YES!

Edit: Interesting that o2 Banking is part of the launch (via Fidor) and that Maestro support is incoming. I hope that N26 are going to provide Maestro support along with bunq...

Well Maestro is working in Italy and Spain with Apple Pay for quite some time now. Bunq for example gives a digital maestro card on top so they will support Maestro in Germany as well. Not sure if N26 will support since they only offer Apple Pay via MasterCard in all active countries.

Check the #applepay on Twitter! All the banks are
posting launch sites and pics.

Well coordinated ;-) (by Apple)

Strange that Santander and Commerzbank are missing. Possibly the old “dinosaurs” were simply taking too long!?
