Just a tip for everyone who‘s interested in comdirect: if depositing cash is something you do often, you can deposit it for free into the Tagesgeld account that you get automatically when opening an account with them. You can deposit the money in every Commerzbank branch at the counter (no ATM deposits).
Usual deposits to the regular Giro account cost about 2€.

I´m in the exact same position.
Thinking about switching from Haspa to Comdirect.
Sparkasse doesn't seem to be in the mood.
When you want to switch to comdirect just write me a pn if you want. Es gibt eine Kunden werben Kunden Aktion, wo wir beide noch zusätzlich Geld bekommen.

Interesting fact... this thread has the most replies (3,407) and is on track to be the most viewed thread on this entire category on MacRumours (until today: 368,559 views )!

I hope we all continue to stay faithful once AP launches. There is still lots to discuss and debate :D

[doublepost=1541759229][/doublepost]By the way: I've realised that I might run into problems with limit on the amount of cards you can have in your Wallet. Older devices (up until iPhone 7/+) only support 8 cards, newer phones / watches now support 12. 12 is ok, but 8 (as on my Series 1) is a bit low. Especially for frequent cross-border travellers, that might cause some problems. Let's assume German banks will (at some point) widely support Debit cards, then that's already 2 cards per bank. If you have 2 or 3 accounts, you're already getting close to that limit, not including additional credit cards. If you also have foreign accounts (and credit cards there), it causes a headache.

I know one doesn't use all ones cards all the time. But I'm all-in on Apple replacing my Wallet and these card limits are breaking those hopes. Does anyone know if contactless loyalty cards also count towards the card limit (as I'm assuming this is due to some limits with the NFC chip and/or antenna)? If Payback and others were to (ever) integrate contactless loyalty... gosh, that limit would be even more frustrating. Once (contactless) legal documents start appearing in there, then Apple will need to do something about that.

I just tried to access the link you provided and received an interesting error message. iTunes told me that the item is not available in the austrian store, but is available in the german store. After that I received another error message, telling me that the item is not available in the german store.

I still thought i was interesting that the first message mentioned availability in the german store.

Seems like the app is approved and just waiting for a manual „go“

Loyalty cards using optical systems (barcode, QR-Code) and even radio based (NFC) systems are displayed in the lower half of wallet in the passbook section. I was not able to find anything, but I therefore assume they do not count toward the 8/12 limit in the secure element since they do not have to be tokenized. The limit in general really is too low though. Assuming girocard will be enabled in 2019 I also would not have enough capacity to add eID cards (if they became available now).

that has no meaning.

the link points to the DE store. As you're austrian, itunes tries to redirect you to the austrian store, where it isn't available, so the error message points to the store that's included in the url, itunes now tries to get it from the german store, where it's also not available.

if you want to verifiy, replace de in the url with any other country where boon is not available. itunes checks then first your default store, and then mentions to check the store from the url.

NO, that's wrong.

As boon is available for ages on the app store, the app is already approved. all boon has to do, is to check the checkbox for germany in the list of stores the app should be available. adding a new country does not require any review from apple, and after the box is checked the app is more or less immediately available on that store, too (+/- some hours until all caches are refreshed).

True - but maybe they will get a new version as well?

Just an information: it took AMEX only three days to re-activate my AMEX card AND deliver the new one to me! Awesome!!!

Can confirm AMEX's customer service is great. After my wallet was stolen, AMEX sent a replacement within 48-72h, while it took Sparkasse a week.

yes maybe, but it wouldn't be for german users only. it would be for all boon users. so there's no need to wait for a german apple pay launch to release an update.
