I just checked whatever email settings they have, and for me everything was switched to off, no wonder that I didn't get anything. They have a bunch of options you can select. Maybe your settings don't cover the ApplePay mail?

I don’t think anyone ever considered that Amex Payback won’t work with Apple Pay.
Still leaves the problem that AmEx cards are accepted in far fewer places in Germany than Mastercard and Visa are, right?
don't think so as the fist line frontend is Apple Pay, if Apple Pay is accepted it will work
That's what I was unsure about. If that's the case, I might even consider one if Sparkasse doesn't pick up their slack.
no. if the store doesn't accept amex, it wont work with an amex in ap. store has to accept amex.

Nothing there to test. It’s the same way with Visa/MC. If the store says they accept maestro/VPay/Girocard & Apple Pay, they will still only Support these cards over Apple Pay and not Visa/MC
that's correct. amex is everywhere in the world not that wide spreaded. but it's getting more and more.
nope. Amex via Apple Pay is only accepted in places where Amex itself is accpted
I'm paying nearly everywhere with my amex. except bakery (only GiroCard, MasterCard and Visa) and some Edeka.
gas stations, Rewe, Real, Aldi, BK, denn's, Metro, Müller, Rossmann, ... no problem with amex.
boon. just sent out an email... automatic switch to the DE version possible!
I'm sticking with the English version though (via Ireland)...
EDIT: Interesting, on the Wirecard server it is tagged with "DE_AT" and also shows it was created in June 2018. Underlines the fact that delays were definitely a factor in the DE launch.

boon has always been available on Android in both Germany and Austria. The TOS don't even mention Apple Pay, so I guess they have always been there for the Android Users.
