Why is the general consensus that Apple is stalling the launch? Apple never officially confirmed any date. They could be aiming for tomorrow or the end of December, for what it's worth it.

Mostly based on the former continuity of launching in the three months following the announcement (if there was any, like in this case). Because if you can't follow through quick enough, impatience and frustration will rise (see ridiculous people on twitter selling all their Apple gear, since AP was not launched quickly enough for their liking ) and you could have just postponed the announcement in the first place (regarding a consumer's POV).

But with Auto Topup I like the card a lot. No Schufa Crap
it's a prepaid card... no need for "Krediteien" or scoring companies. I think a Visa prepaid at your local bank won't show up at the Schufa either.

compared to the situation in UK or USA, Schufa seem quite transparent and open... which tells a lot.

Wonder what will arrive first, apple pay or my N26 cards i want to use with it? As my previous primary bank (Commerzbank) is not going for apple pay, although their subsidiary comdirect will, i probably switch to the app-bank instead. Their loss, not mine.

I'm not surprised that we haven't seen many of our followers comment on here for a while. They're probably frustrated by the mass of "stuff" not related to the thread title.

Well I have to say I’m okay with that. As he already mentioned, otherwise it would be dead. Besides, I learned so much about the banking system here, I finally could become a professional banker :D

Something is happening! I have the same thing with my comdirect Visa. Tried yesterday evening, it showed the list of UK banks (Region: UK). Now with the same settings, it leads me to this site: https://www.apple.com/de/apple-pay/banks/de/de-de.html (this is the site I had linked to in the first post). iOS displays this when you click "weitere informationen) when failing to add a card.

Apple has obviously switched on BIN detection and is starting to migrate those card numbers to the correct region.

I've checked my cards:
Amex, bunq, CoBa MC Debit, N26 MC Debit: All show region page
comdirect Visa: Shows German page (empty)

I have the same with Santander Visa and Volksbank Mastercard.
With both cards I am forwarded to the German error page.

Strange... I also get the same with my ING Visa, I was wondering if it was a Visa/MC "thing". But if your Volksbank MC brings that up, that is indeed very weird.

Jesus guys. I work in a hole. Twitter is blocked here, and there is no cellular network available. Otherwise, I would use my phone. I am just very impatient now that something seems to happen.
