Sounds fine to me. Apple Watch prohibits payments when the device has been off the wrist for a second or so.
You have to read the answer. Not the question :D

With regard to ‘possession’, according to paragraph 35 of the EBA Opinion on the implementation of the RTS on SCA and secure communication “for a device to be considered possession, there needs to be a reliable means to confirm possession through the generation or receipt of a dynamic validation element on the device”. This leads to a unique SCA attempt for every situation, where SCA needs to be applied.

wouldn't that imply that using NFC card is not allowed as well? in that terms the physical card is less secure
As you have to authenticate every transaction that matches the pattern with you PIN, nope.

nah i mean - yeah you cant argue that german apple pay will start later than belgium - i mean the thingie about week 49 ... or even the date 11/12 could be true

The main source of frustration of some users (who are really going off the rails on Twitter & Co.) are the tech sites...

https://www.macwelt.de/a/tim-cook-apple-pay-noch-dieses-jahr-in-deutschland,3439431

As an example this article above: No sources, betting on dates without further information or confirmation and then also providing false information ("Trotz der langen Vorwarnzeit wird man aber erst mal recht wenig damit anfangen können, im Einzelhandel gibt es kaum Terminals - Apple bietet solche seit geraumer Zeit in seinem Online Store an.") I mean... what? o_O

Their update for today (macwelt.de) is pure ********. Almost all stores support contactless payment!

They immediately disqualify themselves as a reliable source for news like @sir-hd already said. No sources, nothing.

With a PIN? No. My cousin from Italy paid in The Netherlands an amount of over 30 Euros, contactless and without a PIN.

For anyone in Belgium that's watching this: support for Visa and prepaid Mastercards are coming to Apple Pay as well according to their support.

Why should anyone from Belgium read this thread right now? They're on the road, shopping until their watches and phones begin to glow - living the Apple Pay life in a hazy delirium!
