boon. will release in DE store AFTER the backend activates AP region DE, probably a couple of days/hours after
 
Too bad I was all hyped up for today. Apple Pay Germany really is a sad story. I know, I know they said "later this year" but come on ... Its like going to the restaurant sitting at your table and waiting for the waiter which is serving everyone else but you in the room even so he told you "Im coming!". Guess I'll go to sleep now.

Don‘t know why but i didn‘t expected it for today. I‘m still on that, what the AMEX Guy told me on phone, 10.12-14.12.
 
Why is the release date so secret anyway?
The service is available since 4 years now, it is not like they are unveiling a new product/service.

Just finalise on a date and put it out there and be done with it. Whoever is ready to join by this date will be the launch partners and the rest will join in the second wave and so on.

Very curious to know what they are achieving strategically by withholding the release date?

I am not sure about Amex, I called last week - and they checked it with an other guy. Spring or Summer 2019. I guess they tell them so nobody tells the correct date ;)

someone from comdirect leaked to linsenbarth, amex support leaked 10-14.12, this other twitter guy is sure about a date in december (e..?), timo hetzel got leaked a date in late december ...

there are leaks. the only question is which source is right

Maybe they are adapting to the opening hours of the offline branches.
I think the bank in our small town opens at 10am #fingerscrossed #justkidding it won’t happen today.
