Well, he won't get a ***tstorm, actually not because of this prediction. He is right with the date - Dec 11th.

Have you thought about it, maybe Apple is not the problem? What if a "delay" was not Apples fault? Apple hasn't announced officially anything regarding a date - only "later this year".

You can laugh about him or me... wait till tuesday ;)

I always assumed that it was a problem with the banks. That was dismissed by many and all of a sudden the rumour around the terminals and lack of NFC at the Apple Stores appeared. I don't believe that.

More likely that Deutsche Bank or comdirect (different reasons) were taking longer than originally planned to get ready. We'll see. Either way I'm quite relaxed about the whole thing...

BTW how come you are so sure?

It’s hard to take someone serious that registers like one day before the 'launch' only to make one single post in which he pretends to have insider knowledge.

So maybe we're getting some buzz today would be cool to get me in hype mode again just sayin

Is there a forecast of when we'll see the Boon app in the store or there's an update if Apple Pay really launches tomorrow?

It should appear in the German App Store overnight (on the night before the launch). Some pages ago I provided evidence on why I come to that conclusion :)

As it seems that even the banks don't know launch dates, but are just waiting for Apple to push the button, I would rather expect boon. to be available on the German store after Apple updated the json — so rather early morning instead of during the night.

No! Check the info provided.

Especially: the App Store can take up to 12-24hrs for new apps to appear on all your account. They will make sure everything is ready once it launches.

Also: don’t confuse app updates, card activation (via the AP servers) and the JSON. All the JSON does is tell iOS what appears in Wallet and which payment networks can be activated / are accepted. In other countries some were able to add their cards to Wallet long before the JSON file was updated (even days or weeks before).

Yes, but it is not a new app.

They just update the countries in which it is available. Changing that info can be done anytime using App Store Connect, doesn't require a review and will be live immediately (~1-2h until all caches are updated).
[doublepost=1544440297][/doublepost]boon. wont make this change before they'll get the go from Apple - therefore I think we'll see the json update first.

We'll agree to disagree. The JSON isn't 'that' important. We could well already see people being able to add cards overnight (if it is indeed to launch tomorrow).

And boon. is preparing a large update to its app (new card design and UI) which will be pushed out simultaneously with the Germany launch (I assume).

Would he really go this far if he were unsure? Fingers crossed.

Sorry to ask.

If, Apple Pay starts on Tuesday, that then starts in the night on Tuesday or on Wednesday ?

Cupertino is a bit behind with the time.

I don't believe it will start tomorrow anyway.o_O:eek:;):apple:

Tuesday morning (usually it was 8-10, but - also collected info on that several pages back) this year it has been especially early. Usually 4-6am local time.
