Just the speculations I read: They're either stating within the next 4-5 weeks, beginning of June or around Pentecost (which is roughly 4-5 weeks from now) and Mr. Gruber tweeted many speculate correctly, so that's why.

I don't know, maybe they start later today or this week. Everybody who knows signed an NDA, preventing them to state an exact date.

Whatever it will be. Tbh I'd preferred if they just said "DKB bringt Apple Pay" and not said anything else. As much stick as ING is getting (Consorsbank went took a similar route when communicating with customers), saying "Coming Soon" in December and then launching in June is really pathetic.

On a side note I'm still super happy with the progress and the expansion of banks. The only thing I'm really waiting for is the DeuBa (and for other banks too) Maestro card to be integrated into Wallet. There are some occasions, where that card would come in especially handy...

And I'm still sitting here, waiting for ING to announce a date. Or at least anything more detailed.
You won't get a specific date. No bank in an Apple Pay country has ever announced a specific date. They will just start when they are ready.

Guys? You know that Bloom & Wild gives you a 50% discount on your first purchase? Does Apple themselves pay those 50% or Bloom & Wild? Nice to have the voucher, when shopping for Mother´s Day.

Interesting..
Apple included a new Payment Network (no. 15) specifically for Maestro in this JSON File
https://smp-device-content.apple.co...est-52782a36-44b8-479e-93bd-699f47fb40b9.json

Pretty sure that wasn't there a few days ago. And if you look at the supported regions (https://smp-device-content.apple.com/static/region/v2/config.json), you can see, that no region supports this payment network 15 yet. Maybe preparations for the Netherlands launch? What do you think?

Yep. It’s for the card graphics when adding through Wallet. As only Maestro will be supported in NL at launch, it’s probably for that :)

I got a refund from Bloom & Wild. How does that work online? In a Shop I know how it works as we talked about that here.

It is new, right?

I don't know I watched the video but Suica has always been this fast for me. But with the 12.3 update I can also choose German cards for express transit. Can that be used like in London or what is this meant for?

Yes, but do we have those readers here? You do not need any authentication then.

just got an interesting note

Hamburger Abendblatt; Helmut Schleweis (Sparkassenpresident): "We will offer Apple Pay to our customers still this year" (sorry linked page is in german)

Sound too good to be true

Paywalled article unfortunately. But the headline is in line with a photo from an industry symposium months ago where the SPK roadmap for mobile payment on other platforms was stated with Q3/Q4. I don't have doubts about this.

DSGV told this public months ago. Eben the social media teams tell it day by day.

No reason for doubts. And we discussed it back in last year. Everthing‘s on track.
