Think that to, but at least something is happeningNot necessarily ... Apple does not always creates translated screenshots:

But I think they will change several screenshots for Apple Pay, at least the configuration screens and so on. As long as this did not happen, we are probably some weeks away from a start.

This all has nothing to do with the launch in Germany, but very interesting: Apple Pay site for Saudi Arabia has just gone online! It’s now showing as “coming soon”!
https://www.apple.com/sa/apple-pay/
Sit tight: It's definitely coming (and probably within the next two weeks).Still no german site. Kind of frustrating. I‘m not so sure about the start in this year ans more. What is stopping them from just lunching it?
Why do you wait buying a new phone until Apple pay launches?Im still on my freaking iPhone se with a smashed front screen waiting for Apple to launch Apple Pay for sure before replacing my phone. Guess i need to wait another couple of weeks at least but if it’s not gonna happen soon I’ll get the one plus 6t.
I've been using Boon for a year, configured with Region Setting Ireland.
I can't say when ApplePay Cash was available as an option. But in the past I tried to configure ApplePay Cash several times, but I mean there was always an error message like not available or something.
But as I said now I can scan my passport with German region settings.
I can now scan my identity card at ApplePay Cash although the region setting is Germany. But it aborts at the end with an error during the check.
In my opinion, the configuration of ApplePay Cash was always aborted directly at startup.
Or did I remember this incorrectly?
I think it all customised to the US. For example the social security number is only allowed to have numbers. But German ones have also letters. So I think it is just a translation without any link to a release in Germany.
On what version is your MacBook? I still don't have it on High Sierra...This morning Apple Pay Cash showed up in my wallet on my iPhone. Region and everything is set to Germany/German and I'm not using boon etc. When I try to set up Apple Pay Cash it asks for the last 4 digits of my social security number, so it is clearly not yet set up for Germany. But this is the first sign on my end that something is happening. I have been patiently (and impatiently) following this thread and the former thread and now it finally looks like something is about to happen. On my MacBook Pro though it gives me an error message if I try to start Wallet & Apple Pay indicating that it is not yet available.

It is on Mojave.
The iPhone gives an error when I try to add a credit card with the + sign in the wallet app. I checked with a friend: Neither Apple Pay Cash not the + sign is visible for him.
