Looks like Apple Pay Uk is ready to go - Just registered my card successfully when changed region to US

I can't change region, it says it won't let me because I have iTunes Match and Apple Music enabled

I just tried with my Nationwide debit card and it showed the T&C's but after that wouldn't add the card telling me to contact the card issuer for more information. So maybe Santander have flicked a switch on their side that Nationwide haven't.

i have apple music enabled as well but didn't have a problem

I tried to change region by going to Apple ID on phone and click "View Account" but then clicking "Change Region" says I can't due to having an active Apple Music subscription"

Tried with both MBNA and also Nationwide - got to the terms and conditions page but told me to contact my card issuer.

Close but no cigar.....

Same here with First Direct - changed region to US in Settings > General, and whilst it then gives the option to add card in Passbook, I get the "contact card issuer" error

Natwest not working, best of luck to you with Santander, if it activates it should work on payment, no need for any update on the terminal end (unless you want to spend more than £20).

Beat me to it, that's me out for now then, just Nationwide and Natwest I can try...

Two different results now.

1. Tried with MBNA & Nationwide - both failed with 'Contact Card Issuer Message'
2. Tried John Lewis Credit Card - failed BUT with an message saying 'Your Issuer Does Not Yet Offer Support'

So... It does seem that all MBNA and Nationwide need to do is flick the switch on the back end..

Yeah I think earlier up this thread someone mentioned about JL not being ready at launch.

When it goes live will the double-press button on Apple Watch just start working or will it require a WatchOS update?

Will require your watch to be set to US region before the official launch, after that it will work fine as it connects every 24 hours to Apple to see whether to turn on that functionality for UK region.
