It depends on your location. If you live within the M25, Northern Ireland or Plymouth you should find the option within the app.

Looking at the app details in the Store they are hoping to roll it out nationwide by November.

Rather annoying as I have a Tesco Express located on the ground floor of my apartment building in Leeds which will scan Clubcards from a phone fine - however the Add to Wallet option doesn't appear.

Hopefully they will enable it nationwide as I changed my Clubcard address to somewhere in London and it broke my account, do not recommend trying this.

I work for the Tesco store in Mickleover, Derby and our tills don't have the newer style NCR scanners for using the barcode/QR code in the Clubcard app.

So whilst it's going to be great to be finally able to add Clubcard to the Wallet app more stores are going to need their checkouts updating IMHO.

My local Tesco's have upgraded the self service tills to the newer NCR model. Why can't they allow us to add the Clubcard to the wallet if your home store has the new NCR model ?

No idea.

I don't know if it's the same in your store but the one at Ilkeston has the PayQwik option on the till too.

The app was scanned by the terminal but it's still limited to stores in London and Edinburgh.

Has anyone managed to use Apple Pay on the web in the UK yet? If yes, where and was it directly from an iOS device or on a Mac?

I have, on iPhone. I bought one of the frank Carter vinyls and his web store is running shopify which supports Apple Pay.

Nice and simple, just popped up asking for me to touch to confirm and it was all done.

Only place I've seen and used it so far on the web.

Strangely Apple's online store in the US supports Apple Pay in Safari but not in the U.K just now.

There's a website with a demo: http://www.stripe.com/apple-pay

Doesn't charge your card but have got it working in both MacOS Sierra and on my iPhone/iPad

^^ Picture from Shopify as mentioned by OP ^^

Ah it seems my iMac doesn't support Apple Pay, mid-2011.

Only supported on models from 2012 according to Apple.

Stupidly (well I think it is!) Safari Settings on my 6th Gen iPod Touch has the option to check for Apple Pay.

Given that you can't link it with your Apple Watch and doesn't have TouchID it's a rather redundant feature IMHO.

I've noticed that my M&S Bank card always appears by default in Apple Pay when I'm in their stores. Its not my default card, so there is presumably some magic that makes it happen!

So when you place your phone on the terminal your M&S card pops up automatically instead of your other default?
If so that's awesome.

well as my default card is different, I've often brought it up beforehand , but yes - the card is there ready and waiting. Presumably it must be an in-store beacon or something that tells Apple Pay to favour that card. Either that or Apple Pay remembers what card I've used there previously. Either is clever and useful!

you'll have to seek out a new m&s and test it now!

Must be a geographical trick - tried a different store last night and my default card was displayed when I used Apple Pay.

That's good, means it'll work for other stores and such too. I guess it's like when my Starbucks card shows up outside Starbucks.

I'll keep an eye out next time I'm at work as I use my Tesco Bank credit card to earn more Clubcard points.

Was in London today and visited the Covent Garden Tesco Metro. Thought I'd give PayQwik a try; it failed despite the store supporting the service.

Wouldn't read my iPhone at all so used Apple Pay and deleted the app.

I've never had much trouble on the Tube before with my iPhone but for some reason I had to perform a soft reset at one point as it wouldn't read my phone.

Normally use my Apple Watch so think I'll stick to that in future.

Just used Applepay to pay for my new MacBook Pro using a credit card that is associated with Applepay . I know when you pay by credit card " direct " as it were, the charge falls off after a few days.
The charge shows up on my CC statement as pending, does any body know if it will still drop off when using Applepay?

It does do, yes.

I've used the Apple app to buy a couple of things and once it's dispatched/charged to the card the pre-authorisation has been removed.

So BP's 'promise' of >£30 for Apple Pay at all locations by November hasn't happened, tried today and no luck.

You'd have thought BP would have been keen to roll out Apple Pay for amounts over £30.00.

If it were me and a customer had dispensed, say, £50 worth of Diesel and only had a qualifying iPhone but had left their wallet at home at least payment could be attempted then (assuming there was more than one card linked to the Wallet app AND wasn't requesting PIN entry).

I prefer Shell's app. Scan the QR code by the pump and use in app Apple Pay and away you go, don't even have to go into the store.

The nearest Shell garage to me on the way home (slight diversion) are a pain to get out of as it's on a busy dual carriageway otherwise I'd have a crack myself.

Although thetrainline.com have had Apple Pay functionality with their mobile app for some time now they also offer the service in Safari for macOS Sierra now.

Just tried it this morning and it works a treat!

Haven't used the Shell app yet despite having one if their sites nearby that is usually quite competitive. Their app seems a little clunky & the need to set a max transaction beforehand is annoying.

It's a shame that Trainline charge booking & creditcard fees otherwise I'd use them more often. I always buy direct from the train company - with Virgin Trains East Coast, you generally get a free wifi voucher when booking their advance fares direct with them and no fees to pay.
