That's surprising!

It was uk.gymshark.com

Thanks-just wondered who was leading the way given a lot of websites still don’t offer the functionality!

Yeah am surprised at that too...

I think they use Shopfiy which allows Apple Pay at checkout. A few sites I've come across use it too, Keeome was another one with a similar checkout process and Folsom & Co.

John Lewis credit card is now on Apple Pay! Added to the phone and watch - and just a text message verification for each, nice and smooth.

Is it just me, or do others have trouble with Applepay on the X? I double click the side button but never seem to remember that I have to use Face ID as well. Still no doubt I will get used to it.

Has anyone used Apple Pay abroad? Specifically in Amsterdam, does it work ok? Are there many contactless terminals around the centre?

I’ve not used it in Amsterdam, but have in a few other European cities.

Only issue I had was when I tried to use an Amex card and the retailer didn’t accept it. Switched to another card (still Apple Pay) and it worked fine.

It’s hit and miss. The Netherlands is a little behind the times on card payments. Main issue was places not accepting MasterCard or visa

I was in London on Monday evening and yesterday and used Apple Pay on my watch at the barriers to get from St Pancras to Stratford. All worked well on Monday night, but on Tuesday morning the card reader whinged about multiple cards being presented. Anyone else had this? Seems odd that it would work one day and not the next and not aware of having done anything different.

To be honest it feels more natural to me authenticating using Face ID now than it does with Touch ID.

Once had trouble with my iPhone 6S Plus on the London Underground; had to perform a soft reset to be able to tap in/out.

Didn’t say anything about card clash but not ideal when the gates are busy and you’re trying to stay out of the way of people is it!

Just spoken to my bank, and they said that when paying Apple with Applepay though the Apple store app there is a £100 limit. If you want to pay more than £100 you must go through the main website. This apparently is an Apple thing, not a bank thing. This must be why I could not pay for an iPhone earlier this month using ApplePay.

Which bank is this? Lloyds at a guess?

I used Apple Pay in McDonald's in Amsterdam earlier on in the year, worked fine.

Can't remember if I did anywhere else though, the weekend was a bit of a hazy blur ;)

Prague in September 2017. Worked like a dream everywhere, using my Apple Watch.

Subway, Macdonalds, Aldi and some various restaurants, bars, other random stores etc.

Only had issue one time, a Macdonalds in the main strip which has the main restaurant underground, could have been a signal issue or maybe some other random issue. I suspect signal as I have never had Apple Pay ever fail anywhere other than that one occurrence.

ApplePay does not require a signal to work.
