That's another thought I had but let's stay positive :p

Edit: I did however try and explain the pickup system doesn't seem to be working but they weren't having it. They just said I can't be checking at the right times... but I find it odd that no one has yet managed to see any stock in any store to be available for pickup.

When you got up early on your day off, queued for 20 minutes, are told they have what you want, then get told they don't, then see people get exactly what you want from where you want, and then go back to be told 'we might have one left', and then be told that no, it's a system cock-up... try again tomorrow - it's hard to stay positive! Hahahaha

And all this nonsense could be solved with in-store pickups.

I agree - I have been regularly checking the in-store pickup but it has always shown unavailable. However, try booking a Genius appointment at my local(ish) AppleStore the Birmingham Bullring - I tried for two weeks with an iPhone issue and there were NO slots available. Had to go to Solihul to get an appointment.

Well at least we know the the appointments refresh at bang on midnight! :p
 
Went into the Apple store on Saturday and impulsively decided to buy the Pro with case and pencil completely oblivious to this situation, the sales rep had a good wee giggle :confused:

Glasgow Braehead didn't have any this morning and my friend checked Buchanan Street. My other friend works stockroom for Currys/PC World says they don't have any at their warehouses never mind the stores so I guess they can be ruled out.

Currys/PC World don't even have a listing on their websites so I've given up checking them for now. I rang John Lewis this morning and they said they'd had some stock but all sold out.

Good shout with John Lewis. Scratching my head thinking of alternative retailers.

I've placed an order on Apple and Amazon to see which comes first. :D
 
Brighton's Apple Store have (...likely had) a handful in stock today, they said the biggest amount since the day it launched. Looks like things are starting to speed up.

or it's a one off. If we have a few days of supply maybe we can get our hopes up.

I know I'm going to be outside that store earlier tomorrow.

Argos have a listing for it as well but I've not seen any stock nearby! I've got orders placed to Apple and Amazon too!
 
Is "4-5 week" dispatch a placeholder time frame for not being certain about when they will send them? Seems a bit long considering some stores getting daily stock.
 
Went into the Watford Apple store on lunch, the guy just laughed at me. Said we won't have any for a few weeks.
 
Yep.. they are trickling through - got one today from Cribbs Causeway courtesy of their business team.

Yes, showed more than 10 in stock but when I tried to check out it said the item was no longer in stock.

Assuming it's not a glitch in their system it at least shows that stock is making its way to other retailers. Should mean that the supply constraints are easing.

Hmmm, to be honest if it said more than 10 in stock, and then failed immediately after, my money is on glitch in the system.

Because, let's face it, the saddest and most eager people are on here!!! :p

That's true! And I didn't manage to grab one! Hahaha
 
This is how to get an Apple pencil from Apple.

Call up your store on the main number; it will go through to the main Apple call centre.

Ask them to check stock. When they find stock ask to be transferred to store. Ask for business team.

Then say your a business and ask if they can sign you up and hold an Apple pencil.

Thats what I did today. All they want is a number and email.

Disappointed to miss the keyboard in John lewis.
