This is really frustrating. Unless I've been really unfortunate and been checking right after everything has been reserved but I highly doubt it!

Is there a chance that all this stock is going to business customers?
I have been checking repeatedly for days now - never has a pencil been available for pickup at any store.
That's the only other thing I can think of.
I want to contact someone senior just to find an answer! I don't even care about the Keyboard any more. I've wasted so much time on this. Maybe I will go back to the store later and ask to speak to the manager, and ask him who I should complain to.
Was anyone here on the reservation page at bang on 10am? The store staff seemed to think that's when it goes live. Don't really want to go throwing around my weight to some Apple Store guy if they were right about there being online reservations all along.
I was, bang on 8am, 9am and 10am. Not a single store said anything different than "Unavailable for pickup" and I've been checking London stores too since I have family down there.
Frustrating. Maybe seniors at the Store are hoarding them to sell for more.
I don't think it's even worth emailing Tim Cook or Angela or whoever - to clarify the process, that is; not to bitch about not having a keyboard - with the current situation I'm sure they get hundreds of similar emails every day and anything with the world "Pencil" or "Keyboard" in it is just filtered out straight away for a boilerplate reply to be sent.

Apple should not be allowing one person to go in a buy a bulk of their stock like that given the shortage their is. Or are they oblivious to the fact that people are doing this?
in fact it's only 10 - but yeah same comment - easily find by typing apple pencil into the UK site.

Is there anyone near Covent Garden who is able to pick a few up for fellow thread members here and sell them on at cost ? Heck, Id even come down to London this afternoon and hand over cash !

I called up to check. When i got there I walked up to the girl in there and said 'I called up and was told you had apple pencil in stock' - She looked at me like i said 'Do you sell 7 foot dildo's' - She went out the back and 10 minutes later she emerged with the pencil in here hands stating how lucky i am as it was a customer return.
I've still got my order though and i think i'm gonna sell that on ebay....
and it really is an amazing tool.

Just picked one up from regent st after hearing they were in stock over the phone. There seemed to be a lot - I must have seen at least 10 being bought.
Wow that was fast... I got mine 20 minutes ago and they are already all gone.
At 10am in Regent I was told to go back at around 12pm to check because they were getting a few, so the guy wasn't lying for once...
Can't wait to go home to try it
Mystery solved. Red cross was not because of in store pickups, it was because the stock wasn't unpacked yet.
I just so happened to speak to a useless new staff member who didn't bother checking.
I leave and then 10 minutes later the floodgates open and every Tom, Dick and Harry is getting their Pencil and Keyboard.

Before going to Covent I phoned them up, I was lucky to find a useful guy of the support line that could actually check the stock in the stores and said they had a few that's why I run there. While going there, I called again to ask if I could reserve one (I forgot to ask the first time due to the excitement lol), and the guy on the phone said they had no stock in all London stores. Obviously, some of them can to their job and other can't, both on the phone and in the stores, as simple as thatMystery solved.
