People are mentioning Safari 4.0 . When do you guys think it'll be released, because we haven't had the current version for too long. I thought it'd be included in Snow Leopard...

Lets hope it has anti-phishing features like the rest of the competition does. You'd have thought that without hardly any visible security features it wouldn't be too secure... especially if installed on XP.

Anyone?

:apple:

For anyone (everyone) who can't figure out what has changed, and are hoping for nothing more than a snappier Safari and some new pretty icons in your dock.... try reading the change log that is highlighted on Page 1, Post 5. It's not that hard.

Just installed (MacBook Pro) and it works fine for me. Nothing noticeably different.

I was hoping for a Diablo fix. I want to play that game (for the first time).

Can I upgrade to 10.5.5 *WITHOUT* first upgrading to the latest Quicktime and iTunes 8 ? I'm holding off on the latter since i've heard so many issues with Artwork etc. crashing!

Mark.

We already have category colors. This came with iPhone FW 2.0.

No Blu Ray support in 10.5.5. :(
I'm hoping soon to see a MR headline like, "Apple quietly adds Blu Ray support" followed by a story on how a clever coder discovered it, with the explanation that Apple didn't want to reveal it until it had devices with Blu Ray drives ready to ship. Or some such. Ah well...

-K

Yeah, Blu-ray support for all those Macs that have a Blu-ray drive in them...

PLEASE!!!

Can anyone tell me if the annoying POPPING, (SPARK) sound on the MacBook Pro is gone?

I'm getting fed up with Apple Not fixing it... it's the 5th update and if this isn't going to fix the popping sound I'm going to throw my computer up against the wall!!

Music sounds clearer to me since updating to Mac OS 10.5.5.
Maybe it is just me.

My screen seems about 2 inches bigger since updating to OS X 10.5.5.

Is it just me?

Update: For those who didn't get it, this was intentional tongue in cheek humor.

A couple of hours after installing the update, my wired keyboard and wireless MM would not respond. I tried using the wired MM and still no response. I had to pull the plug from the UPS, then things were working again, so I immediately verified and repaired permissions (a lot of errors in the list), then rebooted. Will see if this fixed my troubles. Stay tuned....

A restart did not work? You had to remove all power to the system?

feels snappier :p

I am more stoked about the 10.5.5 server update, fixed a bunch of Active Directory integration issues.

Do you have a moment to elaborate? I'm hoping like hell that they fixed the problem where Leopard won't alert users to the fact that their password is about to expire and where it won't pick up on password changes to network accounts unless you unbind it from AD and re-bind it. Both of those things worked flawlessly in Tiger. When those two things are addressed, I can finally entertain the notion of moving some people where I work to Leopard.

Updated no problems here on my Macbook.

Dock does have a air of difference however, but that could be down to me just beginning to use OSX via the Dvi output on my Macbook to my 20' widescreen.
