No issues on 12.6.5 on M1 Pro 16”, maybe 13.5 will convince me, doubt the battery life will be better on Ventura. So far I only read people are glad this or that has been fixed. Got no time for that, rather play on the safe side..

I'm on the latest beta, RC3, which should be the same as this public release.

The Airplay function in the Music app doesn't work for me (it works if I Airplay from the O/S menubar). Does it work for others?

I have posted this question every time there has been an update since Venturas release.

Is Ventura now polished enough (13.4) to upgrade from Monterey? I've been patiently waiting to pull the trigger and here the next OS announcement is right around the corner 😂😂

Any info on upgrading would be very much appreciated, thanks in advance!
Next OS release is signaling for me that Apple is done with the previous release (feature wise) as I always assume year worth of time should be enough for the team to polish the pile of crap they usually release 😬

Update party over, and my old iPad Air 2 even got an update.
All good here.

I wish they would optimize the need for optimization after updates.

The system deletes a lot of caches as part of the upgrade process. This is just letting you know the machine might be a little slower as the caches get rebuilt.

This is good for stability and performance in the long run. Heck, I don't even notice a slowdown anymore in the last couple major MacOS releases.

The animated gif bug in QuickLook is now fixed! I'm unable to reproduce that systematic bug on my updated system. Great! An animated gif picture was crashing systematically QuickLook in Ventura 13.3. It appears to be solved with 13.4.

Updated to Ventura 13,4 on my Mac Studio Max without issues.
A friend of mine was less lucky. He has an intel iMac 2019 and boots from an external Samsung T7 SSD. The same problem as with the 13.3 update occured: he got a boot loop. Now with the message "The computer restarted because of a problem". Tomorrow I will visit him, erase the SSD, reinstall MacOS 13.4 and import the data from Time Machine Backup. Fingers crossed.

Wonder if it has got to do with the external drive somehow. It shold work of course, but sounds like something is a miss if it also happened with the 13.3 update. Can you start into macOS Recovery?

Was kinda hoping there would be an accompanying press release with MacOS 13.4 for the arrival of the 15 inch M2 Macbook Air.

Now we have to wait to WWDC to see if it materialises? TBH, I don't get Apple releasing an M2 15 inch Macbook Air at WWDC.

Especially as it is a year after the release of the original M2 chip. There must be something distinctly different for it to be announced at WWDC a full year later?

The screen size would not be justification alone to announce it at WWDC, I feel.

It's fixed!

At this point I thought it was a hardware issue, as it was a problem since I got my Studio in April '22.
Is it fixed? Same problem as before on my Mac Studio - have to wait a long time for the keyboard to start working after a restart.

I noticed Finder changes; a new ON MY MAC folder; what is that for? and DESKTOP and DOCUMENTS are now listed under iCloud.

This was a long install today. Probably not as long as the Watch (Which I have mentioned my issues with that process in the Watch thread) but for a .5th version of the OS, they shouldn't be as large should they?

Still haven't solved the problem of touch id failure after magic keyboard sleeps for 10 minutes and wakes up.

Please define "long"... Even in Monterey the wireless keyboard took a little bit before starting working.

just updated and had a "battery optimization" notification. I clicked close & now it won't charge. I went into system settings>battery & turned off Optimized Battery Charging, but the laptop wont charge. Anyone else?

I timed it and it took about 12 seconds. Why not instant like it used to be???
