Gave up on my MBA order. Drove 3 hours round trip and picked up a MBP 16gb/1TB
Ordered a MBP 16/1 space grey on 11/11. Friday, my delivery window slipped to 1/6-1/13. I just received an email from FedEx I have a package coming from TECH-COM COMPUTER / AI in Shanghai. My CC hasn’t been charged and haven’t received an email or update through the Apple Store app but I’m hoping this means my MBP is about to ship.

So apparently the "Express Delivery" term does not necessarily mean shipping from within the US. Just now refreshed My UPS, and saw a tracking number with the information, from "APPLE INC C/O TECH-PRO (SHANGHAI) COMPUTER CO LTD".
So as of right now, it has not shipped, just the label has been created. And is scheduled for a Friday delivery, 3 days off from my original ETA of 12/8.

MBP 512/16 ordered November 27, for a January 1st delivery in Vancouver. Was processing earlier today. Got a message a 45 minutes ago that is has shipped. Estimated delivery: December 17. Fingers crossed. UPS says label created in China.
I’m curious to see how this goes.
I ordered the exact same spec with the exact same color the exact same day. Same delivery estimate. Same country.
Paypal also shows my payment as pending since 12/7.
Living in Cologne, I’m hoping for a speedy delivery given its status as UPS hub.
I should've received my mini 16/512 yesterday. But I had it sent to my home, because it was due to be delivered during my Xmas holidays. Now that it comes so early, I was waiting for it in the office Waiting at home for delivery at home today, hopefully

UPDATE:
Both of these orders placed 11/19:
16GB/1TB MBP Silver was delivered Monday 12/7 around noon via FedEx (about a week early).
16GB/1TB MBP Space Gray still shows as processing with Express Delivery Dec 7-14 but I received a credit card charge at 6:30am today so I suspect it will move to "Preparing to Ship" soon and might make the delivery window after all.
ETA: just before 8am it moved to "Preparing to Ship."

Out of curiosity, What day did you order your Mini? I ordered one with the same configuration (16GB/1TB) on 11/18 and have the same delivery window (12/16 - 12/23) and my card now has a pending charge, but my order status still shows processing. Hopefully, mine will ship soon.
Well, my MBP 16/1 just shipped! New delivery estimate to U.S. is December 16. Currently sitting in Shanghai.

I almost cancelled mine out of frustration when they send me two days ago, a revised delivery date that I ordered on the first day 11/10. Then, they send me a shipping notice yesterday that my laptop is arriving tomorrow. I am in agreement with you that the demand for the M1 laptop has overwhelmed their initial anticipation to deliver. Someone at Apple definitely dropped the ball on this because usually their promise delivery date is gold.
It certainly doesn't help that we have all of this shopping volume with the pandemic + the holidays!
Yeah I seems like the demand has overtaken the supply. The big issue is the everything is on the SOC. Where the RAM and SSD are so tightly interconnected to the M1 chip they cannot just place a certain spec'd chip on a logic board like they could with Intel, where the ram and the SSD were separate.
that could by why the 16GB/1TB models got pushed back they ran out of those specific SOC's (they are the same . From what I've seen most of the lower spec'd models have a better supply so the wait times are shorter. Most of the max spec'd model's haven't even shipped. The mid teir 16GB/1TB model may have "sold out" and they have to wait on manufacturing of the SOC's. Hence the push from mid Dec to early Jan.
