Order Returned To Sender after arriving in destination city!

So close, yet so far....

My MBA order, which I thought was arriving today in Toronto has just been marked as Return-to-Sender by UPS. Arggh!!!

View attachment 1689653

After being stuck in Shanghai for 2 weeks, the original package was found and sent on, and was due for delivery today.

Meanwhile, Apple sent out a replacement, and I was able to track both packages. I had hoped that Apple would cancel the replacement, and honor the first delivery, but no - they cancelled the original...which is already in the destination city....

The replacement will take another week to arrive....this is so frustrating!

[Update: BTW, I phoned Apple to ask if they could change this with UPS, but they said that raising an exception with UPS on the first package could risk affecting the shipment of the second while they work it out. I don't want to take the risk....]
Well the sucks!

Ordered in 11/23, just updated to preparing to ship

Anyone have experience to when it ships after that? How quickly does it get to US(Florida)?

thanks
Should move to "shipped" in around 24 hours. At that point your card will get charged and you'll see tracking info and then about a week/7 days until it's in your hands. It will sit in Shanghai for several days which will make you nervous :), then once it leaves China, is 1-2 businesses days until it's delivered. This was my experience for two different M1 MBAs via Fedex to NYC.

Indeed it does! I had really hoped that Apple's shipping control was more intelligent than it proved to be, and could have recognized which package would arrive first, and associate that one to my order, even if this meant changing the details with the shipper (UPS).

It appears that once they've sent a replacement, that is the one you're getting, even if the original one turns up.

I was sort of hoping that I would receive both, and that Apple would correct the situation after delivery...but this didn't happen.

Mine is "preparing to ship". It is more than 36 hours that I am waiting for moving to "shipped", but still nothing! :(

Have you checked your email? Mine says the same thing, but I received an email from FedEx :) no date yet, but it’s in CA right now.

I have 2 MBAs that have shipped a day apart.
The first shipped from China via UPS Worldwide Express.
The second shipped a day later via FedEx International Priority.

Which will arrive first?

Finally, I see some movement. My order switched from 'Processing' to 'Preparing to Ship' overnight, CC was charged too. Fingers crossed it will arrive before the weekend.

MBP 16/1 SG
Ordered: 11/22
Prepared to Ship: 12/09 + CC

On November 21, I ordered two MacBook Airs.

One for my wife: Gold. M1. 8 core gpu. 16gb RAM. 512gb SSD.
One for me:Gold. M1. 8core gpu. 16gb RAM. 1Tb SSD.

As I was finalizing my order, I could see they were both available for pickup at an Apple Store less than 30m away.
By the time I finished, none were available anywhere in my state. The status changed in less than one hour. BUMMER!

Next:

After order was placed, My 1Tb M1 Air was due to arrive, standard shipping, between Dec 9 - Dec 16.
My Wife's 512 M1 Air was due, standard shipping, Dec 15 - Dec 22.

Both were "Processing" until Thursday, Dec 3. My wife's Air shipped. Listed "Due to arrive Monday Dec 14." After it left Shanghai, the status changed: "Due to arrive Thursday Dec 10". It arrived in my hometown on Monday, Dec 7, @6:29 am. In just one hour, @7:41am, it was on the truck for delivery. it arrived about 2 hrs later, 9:39am.

But what about my 1Tb M1 Air? Nada. Nothing. Still processing. "Arrives Dec 9 - Dec -16" However, they DID change it to "Delivers: Express Delivery". WHAT GIVES? Coming on three weeks? I KNOW they are selling like hotcakes, but methinks I was bumped off the queue. Why would they put me on Express delivery?

Ironically, my wife's is in the brown cardboard box, sitting in front of me right now. She wants to wait til Christmas! She doesn't even want to see the hub I got for her. ME, on the other hand... I'm using a 8,3 MacBook Pro, 17". The 2nd GPU and motherboard are about to fail. Running on one operating fan. Order still "Processing".

It is what it is...

It is what it is...

Its ether apple is having issues with 1TB logic boards or Apple severely underestimated the demand for 1 TB configurations.. 1TB Mac Mini orders are experiencing a similar delay.

My 16/512 Mini ordered on the 20th is on a similar delay.

I only got a tracking number yesterday with a shipping delay to Corpus Christi, TX

Just got the tracking for my MBP 16/1TB order that I made on Nov 19. Interestingly it they shipped it from Lebanon, TN, not China.

So I'll get it tomorrow on the 10th, yay!

That’s awesome !

Did you choose, standard delivery or expedited when you ordered?

Delivery window has remained 22/12 to 31/12 since ordering. Still processing and no card charge but hopeful

Does anyone know, how long until delivery in Europe one the credit card has been charged ?

I’m also in Europe, Poland to be more specific. Placed my order on Black Friday, my card was charged on Dec 2.
This Monday it moved to preparing to ship and the following day to shipped. Apple website says it’s supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I highly doubt it since yesterday evening it was in Shanghai. However, in the e-mail I got from Apple I see Dec 16 as the delivery date.
So I think it’s safe to estimate ca. 2 weeks between your card being charged and the computer being at your door ;)

Hopefully by Christmas then 😁. Thanks, appreciate your answer.
