nevermind Im a gigantic idiot. I forgot I had a trade-in box coming for an iPad. I'm stupid and hugely disappointed lol
They stated it could took long as six weeks for it to ship, so definitely before the end of next week.
Doesn’t seems to be any faster than Apple, just cheaper.
Ordered 16/1TB Mac Mini from Apple:

12/28 Credit card charged
12/30 Order changed from Processing to Preparing to ship just in the last hour
Also had an 8/512 Mini order from Adorama that they (said was in stock but) sat on for 20 days after charging my card right away and gave me the drop-shipped from manufacturer line. On the phone they told me late Feb delivery. Cancelled that order and got a refund a few days later that I used for the Apple order.

What is your estimated delivery date? I ordered the same spec and my credit card was also just charged
Apple says January 14, but I hope/expect that to change, perhaps to some time next week. That would be great! I knew that the Mac mini was selling like crazy in Japan and orders are seriously backlogged, so I was happy to see the update to preparing to ship this morning.
This morning it's in Anchorage and was released by customs. Scheduled to be delivered on Monday Jan 4.
Interesting. Exact same config, ordered 12/4, shipped 12/28, eta 1/7 (Hasn't updated since "in transit" from Shanghai on the 28th.)
MBA 8/8/16/512 SG has made it out of mainland China and is in Hong Kong at Chek Lap Kok airport as of yesterday morning. Est. delivery as per UPS is Jan. 5th. Anyone else have one routed through HK? I know a lot were through Shanghai earlier in December but I’m not sure if there are delays out of HKG.
Mine shipped from Middletown, PA on 12/29. I don’t have any tracking from before that. It does show that its at the local hub for delivery, but it may have missed the cutoff to be loaded on to the actual delivery truck. Hopefully it shows up today or tomorrow.
Well someone at my UPS depot is clueless. I called UPS because the last update was the delivery date had disappeared and it said my address was changed to add an apartment #. I live is a residential house with no apartment #. I called and they said everything is ok and “maybe” apple left out my civic streetnumber. I called apple and they said the address was fine. UPS called me back stating someone at the depot said an apartment # was required and not a driver. I asked to pick it up because it has been sitting at the depot for 2 days now and I don’t want to stay home during Christmas week for a 3rd day. So by the end of the call the UPS rep stated they screwed up and someone at my local depot will call me today or tomorrow. ???

MBA SG - 8 core CPU/GPU, 16GB, 1TB finally delivered today! Now it’ll take 2 hours to migrate everything.

Update: MBA 8/8/16/512 SG. Ordered Dec. 10th. Shipped Dec. 28th Through Hong Kong. Left there this morning and made a quick stop in Taipei before hopping up to Anchorage. I see there is a flight on the same airplane that leaves to Louisville in a few mins. Assuming they aren’t going to needlessly unload a bunch of stuff going to their hub, hopefully it’ll make it there by late this evening. Overall, pretty impressed with the quick transit between ports.
Side note...I never thought I’d be *that guy* who tracks or even cares which airplane his new MacBook Air is on...But given the holiday weekend and general boredom associated with COVID times, this is a welcome distraction to break the monotony of life. Cheers to everyone who keeps posting updates. It really is useful information for people who need/want their device in a predictable time frame. Happy New Year.

If I’m following the pattern correctly, it seems that preparing to ship/shipping state happens ~3 days after the authorization hold. My december 11 order is still in processing.
Started to get excited about shipping (ordered MBP 16GB/1TB on 12/15) as others having ordered in that timeframe were getting credit cards charged etc. Went into my credit card account and saw a bunch of pending charges rejected for invalid date. Made the mistake of ordering with ApplePay on 12/15. Card associated expired on 12/25. There is no way to update a card in ApplePay per support documentation. You have to delete and add, but then you get a different device id associated with card. Texted Apple (don't try to call them...hold times forever). Agent told me might be quickest to cancel/reorder....hello, won't get it until way into February. Asked if I could just switch to card associated with my AppleID. No, only alternative is to wait until I get an email to update card. That's great, but I can't update existing card that is associated with unique device id. Rep is escalating to Payment group. Posting here yes to whine, but more so to let people know they should check their card's expiration date before ordering via ApplePay. Happy New Year.
