Finally my M1 MBP 16GB/2TB shipped. Looks like it’s coming via fedex and it’s currently in Shanghai. FedEx has no clue when it’ll be delivered. I was really hoping it’ll be here before the weekend but I guess my hopes are dashed. I’m on the US west coast (San Jose, CA). Any of you good folks have any clue as to when I should expect it?
FedEx is still operational in Shanghai and you can expect the arrival of next week.
I think yours might even arrive earlier than we UPS Shanghai Gang.

Jay, when did you order your Mac Mini 16GB? (I ordered mine on November 13 and was given an estimated delivery date of December 15 -23.)

It's rather nice machine, the fan-less MBA....it's like the iPad except it has a file system and you have full access to manipulate files however you want! Boots super quick, sleeps like an iPad, and has a physical keyboard....
in many respects, the M1 MBA is an iPad without the touchscreen, however, the macOS operating system puts it over the top. I might even sell my iPad Mini that I have because the M1 MBA fulfills many of the work requirements that I use the iPad Mini for....

That's an interesting idea. A mba instead of an iPad. I have the 12.9 inch pro and with how much that costs, maybe a mba would be better. You still get the instant boot times and sleep. No fan or overheating. Definitely a better choice for anyone that will be using it for work.
iPad is better for casual/personal users just for simplicity's sake. Being tech support showed me how truly difficult things are for a lot of people that just come naturally to me. a computer may just prove too much for a simple user who only wants to check their email or read the news.
if I wasn't a big Apple Pencil user I would consider it...for me though it's just using my iPad when I'm not doing anything intensive or I'm taking notes or drawing. Computer for everything else
I just got the shipping email. The delivery estimate says December 7 which sucks if it’s accurate.
That’s the same as my configuration. When did you order it? I ordered on the 14th and still processing with a December 9-16 timeline.
I'm a 14th order as well. Started out as 9-16 and updated to 8-15 after 5 days or so. Been like that in processing ever since. People who ordered on the 11th that have been late to see any movement and 12th seem to be getting movement now. I imagine it'll be a couple days for us at least, assuming we don't get delayed due to whatever production issue someone mentioned or the COVID delays, though I hope we get lucky.
Edit: going through the history it looks like some November 13th orders have had movement too. I guess we'll just have to see.

I ordered on the 11th.
Sometimes they may be constrained on specific parts. That might explain your delay. Hopefully you’ll get the shipping email soon.
UPDATE: I was charged for the AppleCare+ and the computer just now. Still processing but I'm sure that'll update shortly. So relieved to see some progress! Timeline so far for those keeping track as avidly as I was:

I'm from Germany. My brother ordered a Mac Mini 16GB/512GB, also right after event and got it a few days ago. It came from Netherlands.
