To me its going to be perfect, I have been wanting an inbetween size for soooo long so i'm mega excited, I've had the plus in a total about 5 times and returned it every single time for the standard 7 because it was just too much of a handful for me

We will see..oled..very excited too! -Refresh browser-App close-Refresh browser-App start-App close-order-trace.. here we go again:D

It will feel like a downgrade in a sense. Then they'll entice you again next year with the Plus-sized OLED.

Very smart of Apple, so it will feel next year as an upgrade again

Basically same question as this. Any advantage to ordering from Apple vs. At&T if already an existing customer?

Every preorder is like clockwork, AT&T website is first to open (usually about 30ish minutes ahead of the 3am ET release)...people preorder, brag about their order before the 3am launch, and then there's issues fulfilling their orders on the launch day. I recommend using Apple...this is coming from a loyal AT&T customer since the iPhone 3G and I've always done my preorders through Apple.

Color reminds you of anything?

If you're going to do it better do it as soon as it's available . With only a few million units at launch available, it will be like the 7 plus in jet black, only 1200 times worse

I certainly hope that the iPhone 8 shortage rumors are not accurate. I plan to order the iPhone 8 or whatever it is called, with the highest capacity. But i am not sure about the color yet. What is everyone ordering?

It's not just about 'shortages' (Which there can be) With the iPhone during the launch, it's also about the demand behind the iPhone. Apple has one of the most popular annual keynotes, with the iPhone being the center of all of it. Rest assured, there will be constraint if you do not have a pre-order in rather quickly when they become available.

This likely will be my first year where I wait in line at my carrier to pre-order. I have never done this before, but seems like it might be interesting.

What time are these things usually on, & how long do they go for?

I'll need to convert to Aussie Eastern Standard Time & bang it in my calendar.

Yes, 6s, 7, 7s or "8", depending on price, reviews and personal feel after I see the "8" in person.

Apps are starting not to work on my 4s with iOS7, and since I won't upgrade to the sloth that is iOS9 on it, I will have to upgrade.

I'm a student so cannot afford a new iPhone this year, which is fine because my 7 Plus will be more than fine for a few more years. However, I am eager to replace my Amazon Echo with HomePod so looking forward to potentially hearing more about that product, as well as the announcement of new services it may support (hoping for at least TuneIn radio support).

Assuming that Apple actually allows preorders for it. If it's truly going to be in that short of supply at launch, they may not. I remember in 2013 when the 5C and 5S debuted. Customers could preorder the 5C but not the 5S due to limited availability at launch. I remember getting up way early in the morning to go stand in line outside the AT&T store. So who knows?

I"m using ios 9 on my ipad 2 and I still rather go to the ipad than my newish windows 10 laptop or sp4.

I don't understand people who make up their minds about a product before it's even launched. I'm going to wait and see if the rumored 7s models also include glass backs for wireless charging and also support quick charging. If not, I'll stick with my 7 Plus for another year.
