I have an LG OLED. LG TVs come with ads and constantly reset picture quality settings to really bad defaults.

Unless you really want the larger size, skip the spyware TV and get the SD.
wait what? I have two OLEDs and I have not seen any single ad/spyware on it!

Has anyone tried that wacky Belkin/Huwei "charge and sync" cable to connect a Studio Display to a gaming PC or anything else yet? https://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=316883
The thread windows compaitibilty highlights a few things but I'll summarize:

USB Alt displayport works

Wacom Link Plus does not

Thunderbolt using displayport passthrough works

Thunderbolt Ex4 Add in card does not

MoshiCable Displayport bi-directional to USB C works for full res, but no audio/camera/mic

Having it since Friday using M1 Air (16/512/7core) with it and comparing to my old 2012 27"

-all is silent now
-always wanted the 5K screen...just looking at it, reading on it compared to 1440 27" is way easier on my eyes.
-has great sound on its own, not gonna add separates.
-still being able to have a extra hard drive off the back w/ still great speeds is good
-obvious excellent colors
-enjoying photo editing again
-hardly use the webcam, but would appreciate it fixed
-paid the edu price (is it worth the 1499?, well I'd say the LG should be cheaper by a few hundred and this too)

If you ordered a Vesa mount ASD, when is yours scheduled to arrive? I’m currently looking at May 17-31.

That concerns me as well. I have a late 2015 iMac and you can see it in my lower left screen blow, Almost like a cat paw print at this stage. It's on no other corner though. I've seen the videos on how to clean it, no thanks....

I have the exact same issue with my iMac. I thought it was only mine.

Might end up returning mine, the monitor is too warm/yellow compared to my MacBook. Is anyone's else like this too, or it matches pretty well?

Are you sure this isn't happening because True Tone is turned on? What happens if True Tone is disabled?
It's not true tone, it's disabled and both are set to the same brightness, see the upper right corner of the pic. Maybe if there was any easy way to perhaps adjust the white point but I don't see how.

I just set up my ASD. Build quality off the charts, display fantastic as expected, integrates perfectly with my 14" MBP. In fact I notice that the laptop runs cooler with this display than it did with my LG 5K. But, the webcam is even worse than the reviews have suggested. I really hope the software patch can work some miracles.

But, in the interim, can someone tell me where I go to adjust the camera settings? I understand you can toggle Center Stage on and off. At the moment, it doesn't appear to be working at all on my monitor.

One's a 1000-nit panel, the other 600. I'm not sure setting the slider to the same point gives equal light output, does it? The MacBook looks brighter to me.

Are you using the same reference mode on both panels? By default the ASD is set to "Apple Display (P3-600 nits)", and I believe the MBP is set to "Apple XDR Display (P3-1600 nits)". I don't have a MBP, so I can't be sure. Try setting the MBP to "Apple Display (P3-500 nits)". In a worst case, you can get a color meter and calibrate the displays by using "Fine-Tune Calibration" under Display Settings-->Presets.

I may have missed any replies to this...

Is anyone else thinking that the Studio Display's microphone has an excessive amount of bass to it? When I tested it with Teams it was so loud that I had to switch to my Yeti X microphone. I had the input volume adjusted properly.

Sounds pretty normal to me! Maybe sound is bouncing off/being warped by something under or behind your monitor?

Also I would try in photobooth or voice memos. Teams is chalk full of glitches with Apple Hardware. I have a feud with it,

I'll try again tomorrow (it's 1 am and probably would wake my daughter up). Maybe it was just Teams.

Those with studio display with only tilt-only stand, can you measure the height from the bottom of the stand to the bottom of the screen please?

If you ordered a Vesa mount ASD, when is yours scheduled to arrive? I’m currently looking at May 17-31.

I ordered within 10 min of the store opening after the key note. April 7-14, standard glass with vesa mount.

I didn't want to spoil the keynote and was putting children to bed when it was live, so I placed my order a couple hours late.

VESA and standard glass is scheduled for delivery March 31 to April 7, to Sweden.

For those with Macbook Pro 16 and studio display, what do you think about speakers on studio display compare to Macbook Pro 16? Is it better or is it the same?
