Also bummed there’s no home or hue complication for the infograph face. Why promote it so heavily and nuter its ability. Crazy.

Agreed. I’m using a new app HomeRun in the meantime. Buggy but promising.

You know as excited as I am about the new faces - I’m a sucker for a boatload of glanceable information- I can’t help but wonder about the story behind watchOS 5.

I suspect there was a big change of direction quite late in the design process.

It’s seems bizarre to ship while missing half the Apple complications, and bizarre to add some of them back in a dot release.

This cannot have been the plan.

I think late in the game somebody did a mockup of the Infographic on the larger screen and they said that’s too good to wait for watchOS 6.

Well, thats a big thuddy disappointment. I upgraded from my v2 to v4 for 2 reasons - the LTE 911 capability with fall detection, and that the infograph faces made room for additional complications so that I could get all of my wanted complications on one face and, thus not needing to switch between my exercise face (to get a workout complication) and a normal modular face that has everything I need minus a slot to launch workouts quickly (no going to favorites with an additional click isn't the solution - the favorites is where I store my quick access but not daily stuff).

So finding that my Reminders complication isn't available on the Infograph Modular layout - thats 1/2 the need gone. For the cost of the thing... I think I'll be returning the series 4 watch and going right back to the series 2 - until Apple fixes this mess.

The missing easy complications is a rather large set; <facepalm> Leave it to Apple to create a watch face with MORE spots for complications that is actually LESS USEFUL because of artificial limitations. Apple support was no use there - as they cannot say if the complications missing will be added in a future watchOS update. Oh well, time to return the series 4.

There isn't any technical reason the simple graphical buttons are not available as a complication other than "didn't think we needed to" that I can come up with. Is this more of self centered "why would you want to" thinking?

Most (not all) of the complications are back in WatchOS beta 5.1.2...ones added are: Earth, Find my Friends, Home, Mail, Maps, Messages, News, Phone, Remote, Solar System, Wind.....at lease with the Infograph Modular face. I will check Infogragh also.

Nice chart BTW, could you send that to me and I will update the complications added in the latest beta.

Any apps been updated for the complications yet? Only sports alerts and overcast seem to work for it.
